I cannot say enough good things about this inn. My husband and I stayed there for four nights to begin a three week trip up to Canada staying at bed and breakfasts. This one definitely topped them all. We arrived in the evening and were offered homemade chocolate covered strawberries and coffee. Every afternoon freshly baked cookies and tea were... More

A relaxing place to stay with welcoming Innkeepers. We followed their suggestions on things to do and were very pleased. The breakfast - particularly the mushroom crusted quiche was delicious. Would definitely go there again

I cannot say enough good things about this inn. My wife and I (ages 30-40) stayed there for two nights during a vacation through New England. We were greeted at the door by the family that owns and operates the inn. We were personally shown to our room. The room was clean with a beautiful view of the bay. In... More

Our stay at Five Gables was one of the nicest experiences we have had at an inn. The owners Steve and Susan are wonderful. The attention to detail was something you see in many places. We arrived at four and the view overlooking the harbor was beautiful. We then walked in to the inn to be greeted warmly by the... More

We received a gift certificate from my family for this inn, so it wasn't something that we'd chosen for ourselves. When we first arrived, we were a little concerned that we were too far away from everything. Within fifteen minutes of sitting on the wide, comfortable front porch, listening to the birds and watching the water, we knew we were... More

A wonderful stay! Everything was fantastic. Exceeded our expectations. My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon. We had researched just about every Inn along Mid-Coast Maine and settled on Five Gables Inn. We wanted something with a view of the water, rustic and cozy. It was the perfect place! A VERY EASY 5 min drive to Boothbay Harbor... More

We've stayed here several times years ago and was always pleased. When I booked this year I noticed it was different owners, so I was a bit apprehensive. Luckily I had nothing to worry about. The Inn is still as relaxing as ever! My wife has food allergies and they made sure that she received an excellent breakfast. The rooms... More

I travel 200 days a year on business, staying in everything from five star hotels to run of the mill hotel chains. This was by far one of the best places to unwind where I could relax. The owners, Steve and Susan, were extremely gracious, welcoming, informative, and just plain fun to be around. The quality of the Inn is... More

Beautiful view! Charming rooms! Delicious food! Gracious hosts in Steve and Susan! My husband chose the inn with no input from me. I told him he could make the plans for all future vacations, he did so well with his selection for this trip. We really wanted to stay permanently.

I recently stated at Five Gables Inn with a group of friends. The owners went way out of their way to accommodate us and make us comfortable. The location on the water and the porch to view it from is beautiful. The Inn itself is comfortably and nicely furnished. The full home homemade breakfast was excellent and they serve tea... More
