This was the most special place we ever been to. The location was perfect: at the end of a quiet road, peacefully overlooking Linekin Bay, surrounding by flowers and a constant pleasant breeze. The family who own and run the Inn are friendly and helpful in all ways, but the breakfasts...oh my....are to die for. Susan, owner and chef, prepares... More

This B & B is one of the best we have stayed at! It is lovely, with a beautiful view and so many special touches. First they have tea with cookies each afternoon and serve cordials in the early evening and in the morning an incredible breakfast. The rooms are just wonderful, so relaxing and so beautifully decorated yet very... More

The Five Gables Inn is a delight. This was our second stay, both for only one night. Next time we really must stay for 2 or 3 nights! We have now stayed on the first floor and the third floor. If you don't mind stairs, the third floor rooms with window seats in the gables are lovely, (as long as... More

We needed a quiet place to unwind and be near the water. This was it. Our Innkeepers Susan and Steve were courteous, helpful, friendly, engaging, knowledgeable and their cooking was outrageous. the accommodations were first class and the views overlooking the harbor were soothing and wonderful. Every day was a culinary adventure when it came to breakfast and there were... More

We stayed 2 nights and the inn had a full house. I was surprised at how quiet it was. We stayed in the main house in Rooms 2 & 3. We enjoyed room 2 best. It had more room and a larger bathroom. Room 3 is very cozy so if you like space maybe choose another room. The inn keepers... More

This is an amazing place...a complete "10"! Susan and Steve are immaculate innkeepers who have thought of every detail in making the Five Gables perfect for a relaxing, restorative get-away. The inn is clean and tastefully decorated with a wide wrap around porch that invites one to sit and just enjoy the beautiful views of East Boothbay Harbor. And the... More

I cannot say enough good things about this inn. My husband and I stayed there for four nights to begin a three week trip up to Canada staying at bed and breakfasts. This one definitely topped them all. We arrived in the evening and were offered homemade chocolate covered strawberries and coffee. Every afternoon freshly baked cookies and tea were... More

A relaxing place to stay with welcoming Innkeepers. We followed their suggestions on things to do and were very pleased. The breakfast - particularly the mushroom crusted quiche was delicious. Would definitely go there again

I cannot say enough good things about this inn. My wife and I (ages 30-40) stayed there for two nights during a vacation through New England. We were greeted at the door by the family that owns and operates the inn. We were personally shown to our room. The room was clean with a beautiful view of the bay. In... More

Our stay at Five Gables was one of the nicest experiences we have had at an inn. The owners Steve and Susan are wonderful. The attention to detail was something you see in many places. We arrived at four and the view overlooking the harbor was beautiful. We then walked in to the inn to be greeted warmly by the... More
