We stayed at smugglers cove for two nights and were completely thrilled with our stay The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable The view from our room was absolutely beautiful . We were given some ideas from Andre of sights to see and where to eat We were not disappointed I would recommend this hotel to any... More

Although the room does have a nice view, it was shabby and dirty. Don't expect to find an outlet that is easily accessible. I had to crawl under furniture to find one. The bed was hard as a rock. There is a narrow climb to the second floor. It's a long drive down to this property in the dark. The... More

This is a great place to stay away from the craziness of the harbor. Rooms are large with your own balconies. The view is beautiful and offers both an ocean swim and a pool swim. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Very nice but extremely simple little resort. The staff and manager (Andre) are very accomodating and kind. The complimentary continental breakfast is almost nonexistent but is made for with the small private beach and pool.

Visited five years during first week of August. Last year, the 60 rooms were nearly full. This year (2013), only 16 cars maximum in the parking lot on Tues. night. As other reviews noted, the place is vintage early '70s. Outside of buildings well maintained. I would say an absolutely great place for families because of the lawn, pool, and... More

You can pay a LOT more at fancier places in Boothbay Harbor or East Boothbay Harbor, but you won't find a better view or friendlier and more helpful staff. The accomodations are basic and a bit dated, but, really, you're not here to hand around the room and watch TV - right? You want a clean place to sleep and... More

My wife and I stayed here last night, July 27th. It's tucked away, about a 10 minute drive to Boothbay Harbor proper. we sat and watched the sunset right from our deck over looking the harbor. Gorgeous. Once the sun went down the mosquitos were unbearable. We were eaten alive in minutes. The room itself was clean but very dated.... More

A return trip to this old time motel. The location is picturesque, peaceful and idyllic. The room was clean, comfortable bed and very basic. We had found a coffee maker on a visit last fall and now they have been removed. As an early riser missed my coffee and breakfast area not open until 8AM. This is definitely a budget... More

We were on our annual motorcycle trip and decided to stay here Sunday 7-14 through wed 7-17. What an amazing view!! This isn't a Holiday Inn or big box hotel chain with the fancy hot breakfasts but for the value and the view I'd rather stay here. The staff were so amazingly friendly and helpful. They let us use their... More
