I stayed at this"fine" establishment and found it substantially lacking. The room was cheaply decorated and furnished (nothing like hanging decor with push tacks), The towels and sheets were mismatched and shabby and the advertised "jacuzzi" tub was too small to do anything other than Shower in. The view (of the garbage bins out back) was pathetic. The derelict house... more

My wife and I stayed in the Brewster Inn for two nights and we would definitely return if we are ever in the area again. We were on a tour of Maine, and were staying in Dexter on either side of a day hike in Gulf Hagas. This was the nicest place to stay in the area that we could... more

Our stay at the Brewster Inn was a wonderful experience. Having been a resident of Dexter 40 years ago, I never knew the history or the charm of what was then, Senator Brewster’s home. Staying with Mark and Judith, the owners of the Brewster Inn, was like staying with best friends, who not only took care of you at the... more

We stayed at the Brewster Inn at one of the Kitchen Suites. Online it is advertised nicely. It looks quaint and cute, yet large enough to accomodate a family of 5. And it does accomodate, but thats where the similarity ends. The pictures online do not reflect how shabby the kitchen suites are. When we arrived, we expected to be... more

Our experience at the Brewster Inn was one that cannot be described in words. I encourage all to come and visit this small town and take in one of New England's finest in comfort, history and hospitality. We were treated like family and felt welcome from the moment we rang the doorbell. Our stay here was unexpected, however they welcomed... more

Even in the Winter The Garden Room was lovely, and the garden under a soft blanket of snow a peaceful sight from my room's large windows. I have travelled extensively in Europe and always stay in B&Bs, and Brewster Inn compares with any of the best. It has old world charm with friendly Maine hospitality, and is a romantic spot... more

Last summer, my wife and I found this hotel on a list and sight unseen took a chance and booked it. We hoped for the best and got more that we hoped for. Our room (the game room) was outstanding and the innkeepers delightful. Breakfast was tasty and we enjoyed the morning conversations with other guests. On our second trip,... more

Our trip to Dexter, Maine and Brewster Inn was a memorable occasion. We drove from Connecticut to Maine and enjoyed the beautiful scenery all along the way. When reaching Dexter we were thrilled by this qauint small town and the beautiful historic Brewster Inn. Our guestroom (Strawberry Room) was clean and bright; just large enough for the two of us... more

I don't have a lot of experience staying in B&Bs, but I had a wonderful time. Mark and Judith were welcoming and a genuine pleasure to talk with. I stayed in the Blueberry room, a cozy blue and brown room that is the first of several to be redecorated. If it is any indication of what is to come, the... more

Our second trip to the Brewster Inn proved to be just as nice as the first - actually even better as this time we didn't have to leave for dinner! The food is wonderful, Mark and Judith are very friendly and accomadating and we have already reccomended it to friends. We have three small children and this is the perfect... more
