We really enjoyed our trip to Dexter. Mark is the best host. If you need tips on where to eat or go, he is the one to talk to. We stayed in the game room. It is large and comfortable. The Inn is beautiful. It is nice to relax on the patio and walk around the gardens. Mark's cinnamon, raisin... More

The Inn is beautiful. The bed was extremely comfortable. Mark is a great host and lots of things to see and do in the area. Highly recommend staying here. The gardens are beautiful. Spend a relaxing evening on the patio with a glass of wine.

Mark is a fabulous host. He has an endless supply of recommendations on where to go what to see and the best places to eat. The house is older but is full of charm and charisma. Be sure to stay in the Game room it is huge and so much personality. Dexter is definitely the place to stay if you... More

Best B&B in Maine. We stayed here for 12 days and it was nothing but pleasant. Mark is literally willing to do anything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. From giving you dining recommendations to simply greeting you every morning he is here for you.

If you are in Maine, you MUST stay at the Brewster Inn in Dexter. You are within driving distance of nearly all of Maine’s best spots. We stayed four nights and had day trips to Arcadia, Baxter State Park, Moxie Falls, a moose safari (WE SAW 3 MOOSE!), and Portland harbor to sightsee and sail. These were all great, but... More

My recent visit was very accomodating. Mark the owner is very gracious, providing information on various sites to visit and readily provides a comfortable atmosphere to relax and enjoy your stay. His attention to detail is continously displayed throughout the Inn. Breakfast is homemade and delicious. Marks customer service is above any other place I have stayed. He has become... More

We were invited to Maine for a wedding about 10 miles from Dexter when I found the Brewster Inn. I spoke to Mark a couple times before the trip and just knew he was a great guy. We had a lovely stay, he goes out of his way to make sure everything is as it should be, and goes the... More

Mark has done a fantastic of bringing this former governor's mansion back to life and giving it a wonderful touch of England with the gardens and the attention to detail. We stayed in the same room that, then Senator, Harry Truman stayed while visiting his friend Senator Brewster. I especially liked the original bath fixtures and lighting. I especially liked... More

My trip to Maine wasn't for pleasure but rather to honor my mother's wishes and spread her ashes in the woods. As we were looking at places to stay we realized our options for the area were Very limited and the closest "Motel" had reviews that would make the Bates Motel look 4 star. My husband and I had never... More

My husband and I stayed at the Brewster Inn in June. We attended a family wedding. I have visited Maine for 30 years but stayed in motels. We liked the inn very much. We stayed in the Strawberry Room which was clean and comfortable. Mark was a friendly and accomidating host, making fruit bread and a warm dish at breakfast... More
