What lodging for exploring Deer Isle. Jean welcomed us as a comfortable old friend as we meandered to the beach on Eggemoggin Reach and she was pulling in her dinghy. Inn at Ferry Landing is unpretentious and welcoming with the hosts available but unobtrusive. Their home is a treasure trove of family memorabilia awaiting the telling of a related story.... More

We enjoyed our stay very much. We had a long, wet day of driving before our arrival and the restaurants in the area were very busy. Jeanne immediately called 2 local restaurants (allowing is to jump ahead in the long line of people waiting for tables!). The inn was very cozy, the beach was beautiful and the breakfasts were delicious.... More

Jean and Gerald Wheeler, the hosts of the Inn, are very warm and welcoming, and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfasts are nicely varied and always a delight. Rooms have terrific views of Eggemoggin Reach. Your own beach is just a few steps away. We love it!! We come back every year. The Inn is in a wonderful location, nestled in... More

This charming and scenically located B&B on Deer Isle is a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of the mainland. Located within easy reach of Blue Hill and Ellsworth, the house is the former ferry terminal from the time before the bridge was built. Proprietors Jean and Gerald Wheeler are gracious hosts, concerned with the care and keeping of... More

I am a native of Deer Isle, I was showing some company from out of state my beautiful hometown. I am so happy we picked this inn, my friends got to experience not only a wonderfully, relaxing, beautiful spot, but got to meet the type of people Maine has...warm, friendly and gracious. My husband and I stayed in the Orchid... More

We awaken each day here to the extraordinary peace and beauty of our surroundings, and are delighted to be able to share it with people looking for that sense of place. The island seems to attract those who have the same refreshing attitude as its residents ... a special joy for us to host you who was lucky to grow... More

My wife and I stayed at the Inn at Ferry Landing for two nights, in the Orchid Room, as part of our two-week road trip along the Maine coast. We enjoyed our stay, and agree with the comments by the recent reviewers here. I can point out some specifics we appreciated, that distinguish this inn compared to other B&B's where... More

My husband and I spent two nights in the Blue Room August 9th and 10th. While the weather was less than ideal, the inn was perfect. Gerald and Jean are very interesting people, and they seem to attract other interesting types as guests. Breakfasts were healthy and delicious, featuring organic foods and local items. Our room was comfortable and the... More
