Every year in August we make our way to Maine to the Lake Pemaquid Campground. We stay in one of the cabins (109) and while it's probably not considered luxurious to say the least it is certainly clean and dry every year which is exactly what one hopes for in their sleeping place when camping. There is one bedroom with... More

If you want to go where kids are running around uncontrollably, many children driving golf carts all day and half the night, pay for everything including the use of a rake...this is the place. I sent an email about our disappointment, never even received a response. We asked to use a rake to rake our site as it was pretty... More

What a dump. It's a transient trailer park. it's not very clean, no one on the staff seems to care about anything except one lady in the camp store. Customer service? Ohhhhh no. Every time we asked to do something, the first and immediate answer was no. Getting any concessions out of them was like pulling teeth. And it's been... More

We just got here. Grew up on the other side of the lake. First time at this campground. We usually go to danforth bay but you can't ever get in there last minute. We decided to chance it. Ummmm. Place is filthy. People AND grounds AND facilities. We've been here about 5 hours so far and I'm totally creeped out.... More

my husband and I have been coming to the lake for 3 years however this will be our last. I was in the store with my grandson and overheard I believe the owner and the clerk say she's that weird one. I have lupus and have a hard time with my words due to rain inflammation.

The only thing we liked about this campground was the zip line for the kids. Unfortunately the boozing and smoking at the zip line due to the band area was horrible! Our site was up a cliff so far from the bathroom and when the band let out at 12, the campground was loud and full of drunks driving around.... More

We only go there because of other family who like it for thier boys. Once my brother's boys are old enough and loose interest we are going to go to one of Maine's smaller camgrounds in the area. This camground is huge and very crowded. Site rental policy stinks, no allegience to long term renters. Customer service at rental office... More

We booked two sites, side by side, approximately one month in advance. We have a pop up while the other family we were with has a 27 foot tow behind camper. I had never been to the campground before, but live in Maine, and it had been recommended to my husband and I by many people. We had heard, "it's... More

I am so surprised by all of the negative reviews for this campground. I have been camping here every year for the past 27 years. We've taken our daughter for the past 3 seasons now. We just returned from a trip this past weekend. The campground was quiet. The night of the dance- Saturday night- was a bit louder but... More

Arrived at the gate to register, signs said "stay right to register", but the only place to stop was in front of other campsite entrances. Registered and paid the 10$ deposit for the entrance card (which i did not expect). Arrived at our site up on the hill to find a bag of trash that was torn open and several... More
