We recently stayed at this B&B, We found it to be very nice, extremely clean, and comfortable bed! The gardens adjacent to our first floor room were beautiful and well attended to. Breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed the little room with the tv and comfortable chairs and were able to relax there. Its close to town, but far enough away... More

We had a wonderful stay at A&A with Mimi as our host. The bed was so comfy. The room and bath so clean and inviting with wonderful towels and robes. The breakfast was delicious. Mimi makes great scones, muffins, frenchtoast, fresh squeezed OJ, fresh fruit, omelettes fantastic. A wonderful restored 200 year old house close to everything in Damariscotta and... More

We just spent a wonderful weekend at Alewives and Ales B&B. Mimi and Ray are great hosts. Mimi prepared delicious breakfasts for us. The setting is very relaxing with beautiful decor and the bed was the comfiest we've ever slept in.

We found the Alewives & Ales B&B to be charming, clean, and cozy, and quiet for our one night stay. We stayed in the Success Suite with another couple. While they were comfortable in the king size bed, the futon in the sitting room where we slept seemed to tilt and was not optimal for two people even though it... More

Our seasonal abode was not ready for us (April at the earliest) and we needed a place to stay to attend the annual Damariscotta Mills Fishladder Baked Bean Supper fundraiser. Alewives and Ale more than satisfied our desire for clean, convenient, and affordable accommodations. Just a short distance from my favorite downtown in America. If visiting in the summer, when... Alewives & Ales did not disappoint! We traveled with another couple and so had two rooms; both were very pleasant, clean, and had comfortable beds and baths. The house is welcoming, as are the hosts. Ray can give you a primer on small-batch ales (and maybe give you a taste) and Mimi provides a terrific breakfast so wake up hungry.... More

All rooms at this bed and breakfast have their own bath. Breakfast each morning included delicious home made scones and fresh fruit, the berries grown in their own garden. French toast and local bacon one morning, a delicious vegetable frittata and sausage the next. No tv in the rooms but there is a tv with a dvd player in a... More

This graciously restored historic home is pristine, comfortable and welcoming. There is a sitting room/library with a wood stove as well as two dining rooms where you can choose to eat privately or join other guests at a large table. The bedroom suites are lovely, thoughtfully decorated and equipped and so comfy! The food at breakfast was outstanding. I will... More

Excellent breakfasts and accommodations. Very clean and comfortable as well as tastefully decorated .The innkeeper was attentive without being in the way. We relaxed in the evening in the cozy sitting room by the gas fireplace. I'd highly recommend this B & B. We have been there twice and plan to return next year.
