I do not often travel this far north and was pleased to find there was a locally owned inn. I believe it is important in these times to take advantage of locally owned business. A wedding reception was going on the night of our stay and it was beautiful. The banquet room was lit up with white lights, people were... More

I started staying here when I travel from Midcoast Maine to the 'county" back in April. My Dunkin Donut job takes me up here twice a month. I was skeptical at first, because I was used to chains. This Inn has convinced me that I was overspending. The price here is not cheap, but not outlandish. It has a gym,... More

The Caribou Inn is south of town, the first thing you see when driving into Caribou from Presque Isle on Rte. 1, and it's probably the best choice available in this area. There is a pleasant dining room serving meals throughout the day that's popular with the locals as well as hotel guests. Parking spaces are ample (all around the... More

I have been traveling to Aroostook county for the last 5 years on a weekly basis for work, and almost always stay at the Caribou Inn. The rates are reasonable, the staff is personable, and most importantly, the rooms are clean. As someone who spends a great deal of time away from my family on business, it makes me feel... More

Picking up Rt 1 where I left off 46 years ago intent on completing the trek from the Mason-Dixon line to the end of the line we stayed here overnight and were most satisfied with the accommodations and the helpful hints about WiFi connecting. Having deactivated my room key with my tablet I was graciously rekeyed. Beds were comfortable, room... More

Hotel is in dire need of a renovation. Carpets need replacing, furniture is old, rooms/hallways smell musty and it needs an entire coat of paint. The employees were very courteous. The restaurant is average. The bar is adequate. The real problem is it's the only real hotel in town, so they have a captured audience. Stayed there 15 years ago... More

Traveling to Aroostook County on a 5 day mini vacation brought us to the Caribou Inn. We spent 4 nights and we were completely satisfied. The inn could stand some updating, but nothing seriously wrong. The hall carpets need to be replaced, but were only showing wear, they were not dirty. Our room was spacious, quiet and comfortable. We had... More

I called the hotel and booked a King Nonsmoking room. When I got there, they had put me into a room with one full sized bed. I went back down to the desk to see about my King Nonsmoking I had booked. The clerk behind the desk was attempting to resolve the issue when a man dressed in casual clothes... More

This was indeed an unfortunate situation. While we strive to always provide professional and friendly service for our guests, the aggressive and condescending manner with which you approached the front desk certainly set the tone for our exchange. Having been in hotel management yourself (which you were quick to inform me), you are no doubt aware that it can be... More

We stayed here because we were looking for a pet friendly hotel. frankly we were not expecting much as we knew it has not been updated since it opened 25+\- yrs ago. That said, we were pleasantly surprised. Our room was incredibly spacious, quiet, and clean. The beds were comfortable, though I'd give the pillows aB-. Staff was friendly and... More
