We were passing through the area and needed a place to stay in Caribou. Not much available so we took a chance here based on Tripadvisor reviews. As many of said this place is past its prime. Staff were very friendly, but the place is very dated. The room was nice and big but furniture, etc. are older. The bed... More

My husband and I stayed here after becoming stranded due to flooding along our road. We did not have anything with us but the clothes on our backs, so the Red Cross paid for our stay. (We have since generously donated to this organization.) When we arrived at the hotel, it was very late at night. The man at the... More

What an odd place this is. The rooms are not bad, presentable and not the worst we've experienced. As other reviewers have mentioned, the facility seems like a trip back in time -- at least 20 years, if not more. The beds are awfully hard and the pillows will fight you to a draw if you attempt to squish them... More

The Caribou Inn is located on the far south side of town, not walking distance from anywhere you would want to walk, but the parking lot is very large and never full, and Presque Isle is only 10 minutes away. The Inn's rooms need to be refurbished and housekeeping is only minimally adequate. Soundproofing is poor, and noise from adjacent... More

The staff is wonderful but everything in the hotel is outdated from the rooms to the fitness area. The restaurant is amazing and fresh. I only gave it 4 stars because of outdated rooms otherwise it is clean and friendly and safe.

I do not often travel this far north and was pleased to find there was a locally owned inn. I believe it is important in these times to take advantage of locally owned business. A wedding reception was going on the night of our stay and it was beautiful. The banquet room was lit up with white lights, people were... More

I started staying here when I travel from Midcoast Maine to the 'county" back in April. My Dunkin Donut job takes me up here twice a month. I was skeptical at first, because I was used to chains. This Inn has convinced me that I was overspending. The price here is not cheap, but not outlandish. It has a gym,... More

The Caribou Inn is south of town, the first thing you see when driving into Caribou from Presque Isle on Rte. 1, and it's probably the best choice available in this area. There is a pleasant dining room serving meals throughout the day that's popular with the locals as well as hotel guests. Parking spaces are ample (all around the... More

I have been traveling to Aroostook county for the last 5 years on a weekly basis for work, and almost always stay at the Caribou Inn. The rates are reasonable, the staff is personable, and most importantly, the rooms are clean. As someone who spends a great deal of time away from my family on business, it makes me feel... More
