Visit if you like hearty fruit pancakes breakfast, well-kept-up B&B houses with a lot of history, good company, lively conversation. My family visits B&Bs every year or two, and The Candleshop Inn is the best experience I've had. Barbara and Adessa (sp?) were delightful to talk with. They are extremely interesting and well-traveled. I would recommend visiting in the winter... more

The Candleshop inn in York Beach Maine is a very recommended B &B. Barbara and the staff are delightful and made us feel welcome and relaxed. I only wish we could have stayed longer as we didn't want to leave. Jeff Mahoney Sydney Australia more

Our bookclub went to the Candleshop Inn for a weekend retreat -- we felt like we were visiting family! They were so gracious and the Inn was lovely, quaint, and so comfortable. The food was, by far, the BEST I have ever had at a B&B. We can't wait to go back!! Also, there is a lot to do in... more

What a wonderful place our family discovered this summer for our summer vacation. We stayed at the candle shop in the week after the forth of July. We all loved it. Everyone at the Inn was no less than perfectly helpful and kind. Our children were welcomed which eased our minds as we were a bit hesitant to take our... more

The Candleshop Inn is actually located in York Beach at Short Sands. Walking distance from a beautiful, white sands beach and a vibrant little downtown area. The Inn itself is a wonderful place, full of charm and character. Great place to use as headquarters for day trips in the area or for just chilling out at the beach. The owner,... more

We were 4 adults and 5 children who spent the Canadian Thankgiving week end in lovely Candleshop B&B. A terrific experience, we loved it. The children were more than welcome which is great. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms were so cute ans welcoming. I would definitively recommend this great B&B experience. more

I just got back from a stay at the Candlehop with my girlfriend and we had a fantastic stay. Barbara and Michael were terrific hosts. I'd definitely say that their hospitality was a one of the best parts about the place. They are the kind of people who you meet once and feel like you've known them for a long time.... more

We were greeted very warmly by some guests who had been coming to the inn for many years, since we arrived later. The check-in times were very flexible which was a plus when we were traveling a distance and weren't sure when we would exactly arrive. Our room was cozy and country-like in decor- very cute. The atmosphere was very... more

The Candleshop Inn is warm, comfortable and friendly. Barbara is extremely welcoming and made me feel at home. Breakfast was delicious. Coffee, tea and fruit were available all day. It's just a short walk to the beach and restaurants. You can see the ocean from many rooms and from the front porch. I would definately stay there again. more
