Sweet yurt in a terrible location! Stayed in a yurt for $80 per night with electricity and no plumbing. Yurt was located next to the campground maintenance barn and we were subjected to all manner of engine noises -- earthmoving equipment, dump trucks, two stroke engines, four-wheelers-- you name it, if it has an engine, it was running outside the... We have been camping at Dixons for 5+ years. We go every August with a group of friends and their kids. The kids love riding their bikes and playing kick ball in the grass area. The pool is always a big hit with adults and kids. Love that this campground is located so close to many different beaches.

Location is between Ogunquit and York Beach on Rt.1. Campgroud facilities were always clean during our stay, staff were friendly. Store has the basic necessities at fair prices. It is hilly in the tent area which I did not mind but they should take the stumps out after cutting down trees. There were quite a few of them sticking up... More

Booking was easy via telephone. Check in was easy enough at the front desk. The sites range from spacious up on the hill (gravel base) to the more cosy (some grassed) sites around the main part of the campground. The washrooms are basic and would benefit from a handwashing basin in each toilet cubicle. Paying for the showers was unexpected.... More

We did not have reservations, so I cannot speak to that issue, but we had plenty of sites to choose from coming in on a Thursday evening at about 5:00 pm. We have a pop up camper and chose a wooded lot. The sites in that part of the campground were not crowded, but the site was not very level.... More

Upon arrival we were greeted by the campground staff. There was wifi at the office and basic supplies. My husband and I camped with our dog here. We had no problems at the campsite. The only complaint was that we had to pay for the showers. The comfort/hygiene area was nice and convenient.

Spent a lovely weekend tent camping at Dixon's. Super clean bathrooms and showers (25 cents for 2 minutes). We were in a tent only loop, which was nice to be away from all the RVs and was very quiet. You do see your neighbors as the sites are close together, but for easy access to Ogunquit, ME, can't complain. The... More

I stayed with my partner for three nights in Dixon's new yurt in May. We were there before the camping season opened and could see all the work and maintenance done on the ground. The facilities were very clean. All the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. Our yurt was better than we expected. It comes furnished with a... More

We arrived in Ogunquit with no reservations anywhere. We like to travel by the seat of our pants. We found Dixon's and they had space available. Wonderful location for visiting Ogunquit, Perkins Cove and Portsmouth NH. Really nice RV site except it had no sewer. The dump station was easy to navigate to on the way out, though. We just... My fiancé and our one year old son had reservations for July 26-29. Our overall rating for our stay at Dixon's was average to poor. We were expecting one other person to join us and they could not make it at the last minute, they give no refunds; no questions. The night we checked in the staff was helpful- a... More
