Only stayed two nights but impressed enough to know we'll be back next year. Rooms were spacious with clean, clean, clean bathrooms that are generously sized too. Comfortable bed with cozy flannel sheets and windows that actually open. Hotel has spent $millions on a recent renovation and it shows. Still has that "new carpet smell" in the stairwell. A rare hotel where the website photos live up to expectations. We stayed for two nights and the room,(garden suite), the service and location were all very good, however the stand out was the food. We ate both nights in the restaurant and the food was elegant. more

We went to Maine for a wedding and we booked at Inn by the Sea because that was where the wedding party was originally going to stay. The rate was 510 dollars per night not including taxes. The Inn was clean and pleasant and our "garden suite" was roomy, but at this price it was much less than I expected.... more

We had a wonderful stay at the inn. They are very welcoming to dogs here. Several of the rooms are set aside for people traveling with their best friends.
