A beautiful B&B that is near downtown. Our room was large with a nice gas fireplace. Only complaint was the road noise as most of the rooms in the main house are right on the main road (literally a few feet away. The Inn provides ear plugs and a noise machine, but around 4:30 or 5AM, the traffic started and... More

We stayed here in June 2015 and were pleasantly surprised. The rooms are very nice (would like a larger television though), the staff and service we exceptional, and the included gourmet breakfast is outstanding. We also had dinner and the service and cuisine were great. There is good parking too. Overall the Hartstone Inn offers great B&B value. We have... More

Stayed two nights at this property and it was very pleasant. You wouldn't call the room we had (Viola) modern because it was in period decor, but it was very comfortable, much like the rest of the Hartstone Inn. The food in the dining area was excellent, too, both breakfast and dinner. Just at the upper edge of downtown Camden,... More

We selected the inn based on a web recommendation. We stayed in the Normandy suite and found it roomy and most comfortable. The loft sleeping area and king bed was well decorated and comfortable. The check-in process and service were relaxed and welcoming. The staff quickly got to know us and made us feel special. The afternoon cocktails and breakfast... More

Picked as birthday getaway. As part of the package, participated in the Chef for a Day with Chef Michael. The accommodations were excellent. The staff was extremely cordial and helpful. The decor is amazing which is a tribute to Mary Jo. Last minute booking of massages were extremely pleasant. Chef MIchael was exceptional with the Chef for a Day activities.... More

Michael Salmon has guided this small restaurant and B & B for many years and consistently provided inventive and attractively presented dinners. He successfully blends local ingredients into European inspired recipes. My wife enjoyed the Chef's Tasting Menu while I selected from the ala carte offerings. We spent the evening exchanging forkfulls with each other. The staff was attentive but... More

Absolutely love this romantic B&B! My husband and I visit once a year and have never been disappointed. Stayed in the Arbor Suite this year and loved it...very quiet, private and beautiful. The bed is amazing with great linens and an assortment of pillow types. I especially loved the warmth of the jacuzzi and fireplace! The Chef's tasting dinner was... More

We stayed in 2 different rooms, the Sweet Woodruff and also the Champagne room, because we had changed our travel dates. The staff accommodated us in every way, we loved each room, had all of the perks. The shower was amazing, and the added touches of quality facial care products. The champagne suite has the extra living space with gas... More

We found Hartstone Inn on a list of romantic bed and breakfasts on the Travel and Leisure website and were not disappointed! We checked into the Champagne Suite on May 28th, and it was the perfect choice for our three day anniversary getaway to Camden Maine . The breakfasts in the morning were amazing, and we thoroughly enjoyed participating in... More

The bedrooms are charming and well appointed and the public spaces are comfortably furnished and decorated. The restaurant serves excellent food and the only reservation about it is that the menu for dinner did not change during the three days we spent in the inn. Not soo the breakfast menu which was two courses with an inventive selection of dishes... More
