I was not surprised to learn that the chef at Hartstone Inn used to cook for Julia Child. His cookbooks are a treasure and his meals are creative and sensational. Staff was warm and welcoming and very helpful in offering suggestions of things to do in Camden. Lovely rooms with very comfortable beds. Most guests I met had been to... more

Our stay at the Hartstone Inn was amazing! Living only an hour away we had seen the Hartstone on many occasions driving thru Camden, and finally found the time (and babysitter) to celebrate a weekend away for our anniversary. From our arrival, the staff were very friendly and accomodating. Our room, the "Manor Suite" was situated in a seperate building... more

We were in Camden for Thanksgiving several years back and really wanted a special place to have our holiday meal since it is such an important tradition for us. I think it's a bit difficult to dine out on Thanksgiving because you miss out on all that it takes to plan, execute and cook a meal with family and friends.... more

We recently stayed at the Hartstone Inn in beautiful Camden, Maine. Besides location and a very friendly atmosphere, the Inn offers an unbelieveable homemade breakfast at the beginning of each day.... Our stay was very enjoyable and we would highly recommend the Inn to our friends... Sincerely, Joyce & Marc Dumont more

Recently, I stayed at the Hartstone Inn in Camden, ME. This was my second stay and as wonderful as the first. Both the Inn and Hideaway are beautifully appointed. The beds and pillows are comfortable and the jacuzzis are relaxing! I've been lucky enough to have eaten dinner at the Hartstone 3 times and each meal has been wonderful. I... more

This is the fourth time we stayed at the Hartstone Inn and once again we had an awesome time! We always get the Gourmet Getaway package which is a two night stay and includes a five-course dinner for two and breakfast both mornings. The food is always exceptional. Both Chef Michael and Mary Jo go out of their way to... more

We stayed in the Hideaway which is off the main drag, probably a better choice than staying in the main inn. We stayed in the room called Lavender. It was comprised of two small room that were nicely furnished. Dinner at the inn was delicious. The only problem we had was that we were the last to arrive for dinner... more

We stayed 2 nights mid-week in October. Our Sweet Woodruff room in The Hideaway House was up a very narrow and quite steep staircase. We drug the suitcases up by ourselves. The room was quite small, but charming. The bed was very comfy and we didn't notice any street noise. We encountered 2 glitches. The complimentary breakfast is great, if... more
