It was off season and we were the only guests a the Inn. The innkeepers were great - very friendly and a wonderful source of information about the Camden area. It was a very short walk to get into the town and restaurants. Everything at the Inn was done very nicely. The breakfast was delicious. We have stayed in several... More

This was the most beautiful B & B that we stayed in on our two week vacation. Loved the décor throughout and felt right at home. It is an 1810 Federal home that is charming and just a short walk to the center of Camden. Overall we like smaller places to stay but would definitely return. The Innkeeper was warm... More

It was wonderful to return to Captain Swift this past weekend. Captain Swift offers the best of New England’s characteristic charm with a warm welcoming feel. Captain Swift offers a choice of traditional rooms that down east bed and breakfasts are known for as well as multi-level suites with comfortable bedding, modern amenities, private bathrooms and whirlpool tubs. As usual,... More

We were really fortunate when we planned our New England vacation and chose the Captain Swift Inn. The Camden location was ideal, accommodations were quite comfortable and welcoming, and the breakfasts were over the top. The innkeepers, Linda and Norm couldn't have been more hospitable and helpful. If you plan on driving up the Maine coast and hiking Acadia Park,... More

This was the second time I stayed at the Captain Swift and it was as nice as the first time around. In Camden for a conference the Inn is well located and a cozy retreat from the long and interesting days. Linda & Norm are warm and gracious hosts. I am still dreaming about their outstanding breakfasts!

We stayed at the Captain Swift for a couple of nights on our way to New Hampshire. It was very comfortable, and Linda and Norm are great and very helpful hosts. The room was fine, nice and clean, and the addition of the gas fireplace made it very cozy. The Inn is within easy walking distance of the town, so... More

While we both live in Maine, a friend and I were looking for a relaxing weekend away. The Captain Swift Inn was charming and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were able to walk downtown easily (but be prepared for typical heavy Camden traffic) and the owner Linda recommended some nice restaurants for us to try. Parking at the Inn... More

This was our first time to stay in Camden, but it won't be our last. Linda and Norm are very gracious hosts, catered to our every need and fantastic breakfast makers. Our only problem was that we did not allow enough time to stroll the Camden/Rockport area. We will fix that the next time and have another excuse to have... More

My husband and I once again (our 3rd) had the opportunity to stay at the Inn. We were in the Coastal Suite and it was charming--working fireplace, cozy bed, jetted tub and separate shower, luxurious linens in bath and in king bed. Breakfast was fruit compote, enormous egg omelets, and freshly baked scones. In the afternoon there was a plate... More

We have been to the captain swift inn twice now and plan on many returns! First in August with my parents and recently just for two, Linda and Norm consistently provide a lovely stay. With fresh linens, comfortable beds, the rooms are incredibly cozy and resting well is a guarantee. The breakfast is top notch; I am still thinking about... More
