This was our 2nd B&B experience on our 10 day trip up the coast of Maine for me, my husband and 86 yr old Mom. Stayed 2 nights. Excellent choice! Plenty of room with Mom downstairs on the Queen bed with bathroom nearby - husband and I upstairs on the pull out sofa with TV and eating area. Hosts were... More

Camden has a large selection of accommodation to choose from and we chose the Inn based on previous reviews and also it's walking proximity to the centre of Camden. The Inn itself is a beautiful old building with plenty of old age New England charm internally and externally. We were happy to check in and relax enjoying homemade lemonade and... More

I've stayed in nearly all the inns in Camden over the past 15 years and now will continue to stay at the CSI. By far the best All around Inn. Not the fanciest or most romantic but truly the best New England Inn experience. Excellent clean rooms excellent inn keepers excellent breakfast at a fair price.

A very serendipitous discovery.... I wanted to celebrate my partner's birthday and was so glad I chose Captain Swift's when I had no prior knowledge of any property in Camden. Its location is just right for walking to town center, Camden Deli, Ducktrap Bay Trading, 40 Paper, public library and many many more especially if you like antiquing. Norm and... More

We planned to stay one night, but literally within 5 minutes of checking in, we asked to extend for the second night. We absolutely loved our stay here. We had the Cabin Retreat room, a two level king bed room. Fabulously comfortable bed, cozy linens, soft throws for cold Maine nights. Linda and Norm are hosts who retired from prior... More

Norm, the owner/boss was on the job pretty much all the time, but unobtrusively! Everything was well organized & ship-shape ..... really ~ 4.5 * Breakfast was a special highlight, including mounds of wonderful wild blueberries on French Toast one day! Some interesting art on the walls also. Thanks Norm!

In selecting a place to stay we were looking for a room close to town to walk to, clean, breakfasts and informed hosts to navigate our interests. This was a win-win all the way! We stayed 4 nights and plan to return. Norm and Linda are incredible personable hosts - the food was Excellent, Norm's skill of filling our day... More

I tried to email my concerns to Norm and Linda but it kicked back twice so here I am using TripAdvisor. We stayed in the Hunt room; one of two rooms in the front of the property and the street noise from the busy road was unbelievable. We always travel with ear plugs but even that only kept the sound... More

We always regret when one of our guests is not totally satisfied with their experience at our inn and we apologize for this guest's difficulty. Had we been made aware during their stay of the problem the guest had with noise, we would have immediately moved them to a quieter location. Yes, our inn, as are many others, is on... More

Charming, classically New England, beautifully decorated, just two blocks from the heart of Camden. Friendly hosts (Linda and Norm) -- and a great breakfast. We know why it is rated among the top in Camden. We would definitely go back.

We spent one night at the Captain Swift Inn on our way through Camden. Norm and Linda were gracious, attentive hosts. We enjoyed Norm's historical knowledge of the Camden area and the inn itself. Our room, the Hunt Room, was large and comfortable...yet very cozy. Breakfast, as well as the afternoon snack, was delicious! This was a lovely accomodation and... More
