One can only second all the glowing comments made by others but I want to add my own perspective and thanks to Dave and Karen for a special week on the Maine coast. I picked Timbercliffe based on TripAdvisor reviews and as always they were right on the mark. Dave and Karen are the perfect B&B hosts; thoughtful, welcoming and... More

Not much to say that hasn't already been said! We stayed just one night. Really enjoyed the GoodWyfe Mary suite...private and we liked leaving the blinds up to see the sun coming up with the water view. Breakfast was exceptional! There's a reason they have all these good reviews!

Camden was our favourite spot on the North Maine Coast, and Timbercliffe Cottage – a beautiful old house set in delightful gardens a good way back from the road, (which means it's quiet) – proved to be the perfect place for our all-too-brief stay. The cottage is decorated and furnished tastefully and elegantly, nothing over the top. Innkeepers David and... More

What's not to like? Oh I know..no big screen TV. Use their free wi-fi to stream video if you are into that. Otherwise appreciate a perfect Maine B&B right down to dark colored washcloth labeled “Make-up” to scrape off the grime of pulling lobster pots all day. Fluffy towels of course. Delightful breakfast, all toiletries, ice machine, parking, our room... More

Timbercliffe is a great B&B and only a short walk from downtown Camden. Very cozy, welcoming and comfortable. It's nicely decorated and is pleasantly absent of the flowered wallpaper, sheets and pictures you find at many B&B's! Dave and Karen are terrific hosts! If you like Thai food, go to Long Grain - it’s amazing! We talked to a bartender... More

After two days last year we came back for five. It was very much a home from home for us, with a continuing welcoming atmosphere. The owners work really hard to make people feel welcome. great attention is paid to rooms during the day so that returning is just like walking in for the first time. the library and living... More

We have traveled the world as Foreign Service officers, and this is the nicest B&B we have ever stayed in. The breakfasts were first-class - one morning we enjoyed the best oatmeal I have ever tasted, the next we were treated to scrumptious waffles. Many B&Bs in Camden are located directly on busy Route 1, Timbercliffe Cottage is set back... More

We have stayed at B and B's all over the world and this one was one of the best. Every detail is perfect . We arrived after a 5 hour drive from Quebec City and when the owner greeted us to this beautiful home with a fireplace lit and homemade cookies and a big smile, we felt so welcome and... More

My wife and I stayed in September for three nights. Everything was just right. Dave and Karen are super hosts. The front porch is excellent for watching the sails in the bay. The rooms are quaint and comfortable. Morning breakfast was yummy. It’s about .8 miles from the B&B to downtown Camden. It’s worth a walk into town just to... More

Enjoy meeting other travelers on a large porch overlooking Penobscot Bay. Relax in a rocking chair with a cup of coffee while watching sails in the late afternoon. Take a short walk into Camden, many restaurants, shopping, and places for an afternoon beverage of choice. Visit the local winery for a little tasting. Our last night was without power (due... More
