Jen and Eric do an exceptional job, the rooms are comfortable (spotless) and relaxing. The front porch with its flower boxes and view of the ocean is an added plus. We enjoyed walking through the backyard garden filled with flowers, fruits and vegetables. In the morning we were pleasantly surprised with fresh grounded coffee, fresh fruit, juice and homemade scones.... More

How would you like to stay on a farmette with chickens, a huge vegetable garden, a berry garden, fruit trees and flowers spilling all over? Yes. Birchwood Motel is actually just like that at a really nice motel. They offer home baked scones with berries from the garden at breakfast, and the staff (actually just wife, husband and cleaning lady)... More

Looked for a place to stay. Had no reservations, went out of the busy center of Camden and all the tourist noise and found this very pleasant comfortable motel. I liked the fact that it had a long porch to sit after a busy day of sight seeing and just relax and look at the view of the water across... More

Sometimes what you read on the internet is 80% true. This is not the case with the Birchwood Motel as the hotel is one of the cleanest we have stayed in. The beds are comfortable with nice duvets. The room good size to accommodate two with luggage. You can tell Eric and Jenny take pride in what they do. Everything... More

Our corner room was great! Nice and light with big windows. King bed, nice quilt. Hardwood floors were great! The Birchwood is about 2 miles from Camden. A little hard to see at night, but right on Highway 1. The coffee and muffins were delicious. The bathroom was a nice size, too. I love parking right outside the room! No... More

Our room was very clean, but a bit small. Coffee and muffins available in morning. Comfortable bed. OK shower. A bit of a trip out of Camden but away from the crowds. Some road noise. Friendly owner. I think there would have been a view of the bay, but weather was a bit stormy.

We have stayed at the Birchwood several times during our Maine coast visits. The hotel is clean and green. Hardwood floors in the rooms mean clean floors! Solar water heats the floors and the owners take pride in reduced energy demands by having coffee in the office, not in each room. Each morning a wonderful pot of coffee awaits to... More

We were riding through town with no reservations. We did some tripadvisor homework and liked the looks of the birchwood. We called ahead and reserved two rooms. Upon arrival we were thrilled with the million dollar views and the postcard setting. The grounds were spotless and loaded with flowers and fruit and berry bushes everywhere. The rooms were immaculate ...... More

Our room was super clean, the and everything was in very excellent condition. The place looked brand new. The owners live on site and were very hospitable. Coffee muffins and fruit were available in the mornings. About 3 miles from downtown Camden. Nice view of the bay.
