My wife loves romantic settings, flower gardens and the ocean so I decided to surprise her with a few nights stay at Cedarholm based on the photos on their website and previous reviews. As we pulled into the property and then down from the office to our oceanfront cottage she actually began to giggle with delight as we road past... More

Even as Fall comes blowing in, the gardens here are amazingly cared for. The owners are out and about all day every day making sure this place is perfect. The cottages are clean, the view is beautiful, and the only sounds heard are the water lapping at the rocks and birds calling in the air. Set back from the road,... More

Picture yourself in a luxurious cottage by the sea, snuggled in your king bed, listening to the waves breaking on the rocky shore. The sun rises over Penobscot Bay, and you awaken to birdsong. You stroll up the winding drive, through a forested glen and linger in the vegetable and perennial flower gardens, entranced by the light and shadow playing... More

My wife and I were looking (last minute) and we came accross the Trip Advisor reviews for Cedarholm. After a wonderful conversation with one of the owners, Kristin, we decide to stay here. We feel very fortunate to have found out about this place on our first trip to Maine. Things we enjoyed about this location: 1. The staff was... More

If you enjoy the sound of waves breaking when you fall asleep and wake, this is the place to be! We had planned to visit the Camden area as campers, but with the Maine weather as it is, we decided last minute to find a hotel to stay in instead! It took about a 3 minute Google search and we... More

If you are looking for a peaceful, panoramic view of the bay and a clean, sparkling luxury cabin, you have to stay at Cedarholm. The owners, George and Kristin take great pride in their property. You will see them primping their lovely grounds all day. They also have a wealth of information on the area and told us about some... More

I've stayed at Cedarholm two times, both in June and both in the Tern cottage. The grounds and location are idyllic. As you drive back to the oceanfront cottages, you first pass through the lush and beautiful gardens (great photography opportunity) that leads to a wooded path that opens up like an enchanted forest. The cottages are spaced nicely to... More

When our planned vacation had to be cancelled at the last moment, we were left scrambling to find something...anything...for a vacation. Every single New England Beach remotely near us was booked solid for months in advance. After spending hours and hours on the phone and internet, we stumbled upon Cedarholm. We were somehow fortunate enough to find four nights in... More

Why this inn is not rated as one of the very best in Camden I will never know. The cottages are first class, the view is phenominall. I have never stayed in a place that was so clean. The perennial garden is one of the best I have ever seen. Anyone that is interested in seeing gardens should not miss... More

I have never seen a more beautiful place in my life. The cottages are spectacular. There are only six cottages and they overlook the ocean. They're as close to the ocean as possible actually. Lots of places have ocean views but Cedarholm Garden Bay Inn is right at the ocean's edge. The footpaths and gardens are peaceful and simply amazing.... More
