Out of 8 campgrounds along the east coast- this one had the best showers! The water was warm and lasted about 5 minutes before you had to press the button again. Sites were secluded and quiet. Great location and beautiful!

We have camped at Camden Hills for three decades and it keeps getting better. Many campsites are multi-use (tent/pop-up/camper) with an electric outlet and water spigot in the site. Much of the campground has Wi-Fi service. Is it really family camping with all these amenities at the campsite? The bathrooms are kept clean and feature private showers. Our favorite sites... More

We had a great time at Camden Hills and found the staff friendly and accommodating. The Good: - the price was good. We booked a group site over the phone and it was incredibly easy and very cheap. - location: being near Camden and Lincolnville makes this park very attractive. Camden is a lovely little town with lots of quaint... More

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay here. The firewood sold at Camden Hills State Park was cut, split, bundled and stored under cover for over a year. It's all hardwood - white birch mostly. The labor involved for processing this firewood is provided by inmates from the Maine State Prison. Our bundles are very large and the wood is split... More

Spent a week here in our hybrid camper. Campground offers both tent sites with no hookups and RV sites with electricity and water hookups, a rarity for state parks. Great location for convenience to several mountain scenic hikes, boating on Lake Megunticook or hanging at the beaches. Good for avoiding the Acadia campground crowds but only a 1.5 hour drive... We stayed here for 3 nights in a trailer. We did not have the best location in the park, but the park itself is lovely. It is close to Camden which is a beautiful town with good shopping and a gorgeous location on Penobscot bay. The park has a nice walking trail to the top of Mount Battie and awesome... More

We enjoyed hiking here. Much quieter that Acadia, plenty of parking in the late afternoon when we arrived. We drove up to Mt. Battie, then hiked Tablelands trail. Spectacular summit view after a moderate hike with entry of steep climbs. Many trails meet so you can hike as long as you want. We really enjoyed this park and could have... More

Partially in the forrest, partially on an open field. Showers basic but clean. Free WiFi, electricity, water. Well maintained and clean. Good fireplace at the slot, you can buy wood onsite. Access to park included.

This camp ground is perfect, two miles to town to the shops and restaurants. The camp ground itself is clean and well managed. We have stayed here in the past and like it for the strict rules and cleanliness. We always take the same camp site, lots of j Hiking close by,

The campsite is right off Route 1 outside of Camden, Maine. The site has two loops, one mostly tents - higher up the hill and further away from the highway, and the second loop a mixture of larger and medium sites for RV's and larger tent sites. The bathrooms/showers were central to the loops and were clean and well organized.... More

We had a lovely lot(#58). It is the only one with a bay view. The park employees are so nice and helpful. A lot of shady sites with plenty of room. Electric/ water and wifi. Mount Battie should not be missed. Beautiful vistas! Camden is a neat little town with a very nice park by the library.
