We had a small room, and were stuck with a bath down the hall, as the others, and good properties all in the area, under $150 a night were gone. PROBLEM! Even though most rooms have their own bathroom, they take advantage of having another to use, this leaves you in the lurch. Waiting for a toilet or shower, tub.... More

A bit longer a walk to downtown than I was expecting but good to walk off the good food downtown. The hotel was just what we were looking for. It seems to be either restored or preserved but has all the original feel of what I imagined a hotel from the teens or twenties might have been. We booked a... More

A grand old hotel in Camden, old does not mean dingy! Rooms are bright, well appointed, the beds are oh so comfy! Staff is very helpful, prices are very reasonable for Camden. We stayed here about four years ago, it has changed hands since, but it is still very good.

Fantastic experience we had there. Two nights in late July, Camden is a beautiful town. The Whitehall is charming, I loved the front porch and rocking chairs. We grabbed a couple of drinks from the bar and sat out front watching the cars go by. Quaint, charming, peaceful, we really had a great time. I think we were in room... More

I traveled to Camden this past weekend for a wedding, and came away very impressed with the accommodations of the White Hall Inn. Our room, the staff, and the overall experience was exceptional and I would recommend this Inn for anyone looking for a quiet getaway weekend.

We stopped in Camden on the spur of the moment and chose the Whitehall Inn on the recommendation of the chamber of commerce. We loved it,- from the cozy room, the majestic common space, the wonderful staff to the amazing breakfast. It also was an extremely good value and it is now a permanent destination on our trips to Maine

As I planned our summer road trip to Bar Harbor, I decided we should stay one night in Camden on our way north from CT. We are soooo happy we did. The Whitehall Inn is a wonderfully charming Inn. The history of the Inn was a surprise bonus. Our room (Mae West) was perfect! The staff was extremely pleasant and... More

Edna St. Vincent Millay and Peyton Place all under the same historically charming roof! (Of course not at the same time). Camden has many dear surprises like the Whitehall Inn and we were so glad to discover it. Absolutely the best breakfast of our trip and comfort beyond what a traveler could ask for. Martinis in the rockers on the... More

My sister and I arrived at the Inn and was greeted by a lovely person (I wish I could remember her name). The room was at the back which was fabulous for us because we like quiet. The room was spotless and the beds were comfy. The breakfast (which was included, and we ordered off the menu) was tasty, and... More

My wife and I recently spent four nights at the venerable Whitehall Inn. Our second floor room afforded a slight view of Penobscot Bay. The breakfast was excellent and was included in our room rate. We also enjoyed the expansive front porch. Although there was some street noise from busy Coastal Route 1 we nevertheless enjoyed sitting in the rockers,... More
