We stayed at the High Tide at the tail end of a car-camping trip up the Maine coast and along the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick. After a week of sleeping in a 30-year-old Westphalia, we were looking forward to real beds, and a quick search of pet-friendly lodgings in the Camden area yielded the High Tide. Excellent choice.... We stayed here last September and eagerly anticipated our return last week. We were warmly welcomed by Jo, the owner, and Mike who checked us in. This year we reserved a free standing cottage for ourselves and Piper, our rescued chocolate lab.. We loved the rustic appearance and the wonderful view of the water. Wi-Fi is now available throughout the... More

We stayed in the waterfront view building. Pretty run down and I would not want to be there when the place is full because you hear all of your neighbors--both on the same level and above or below. The innkeeper is very nice, but the place really needs a lot of work to become a really pleasant place to stay.

We keep coming back for so many reasons . . . area, hospitality, relaxation, and of course the popovers. . . we prefer the cottages for their privacy . . . the rocky beach provides close views of nearby islands and local boating vessels . .

The High Tide Inn is nice, and typical for the area. Rooms are clean and comfortable. However, the inn's best feature is the innkeeper Jo Freilich. You will NEVER meet a warmer, more friendly person in the hospitality industry. That LADY is a KEEPER! She serves breakfast in a room with a nice view of the ocean & islands. The... More

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It has beautiful, quiet surroundings, green and spacious. Great view of the ocean. The room was comfortable, if a little run down and with a musty smell. Not a dealbreaker though. No wi-fi in the room, although the owner indicated it would be activated within days. Nice, if a bit spartan continental breakfast.... More

Perfect getaway! We were referred here by another inn located south of Camden. It was ideal, we stayed in unit 19, which is an older style motor inn. Cozy room, felt kinda like grandma's house. View of the ocean and property was awesome. Very very clean, beds and chairs were comfortable. Breakfast was marvelous; homemade breads and popovers. The view... More

The owner and staff were fantastic, friendly and accommodating. My daughter and I stayed for a few nights and even though the weather was rainy and cold the Inn was cozy and and homey. I enjoyed the sound of the ocean from a room in the Inn. I also checked out the ocean front rooms and they were great with... More

Light and airy bedrooms with good beds. Burning fireplace when it was rainy outside. Beautiful breakfast porch, homemade popovers and jam. At night, the lapping waves and the hooting of an owl. Some distance to Camden, but a choice of 3 or 4 different restaurants within a couple of minutes drive. Lovely hostess! In short, the most perfect place for... More

Had a wonderful stay. Could listen to the ocean all night. Private beach and clean rooms. The staff was very helpful. Homemade muffins for breakfast. Close to Camden, Mt Batte state park and Lincolnville Maine.
