First time we ever stayed at B&B, won't be last. Greystone was beautiful, spotless and warm on a cold rainy nite. The owner's were very friendly and obviously take pride in their beautiful old home. We've stayed in many hotels this fall(2009) from Nova Scotia to Ontario and back, and this place is by far the best. The rates are... more

This is by far the best B&B I have ever stayed in and at a very good price! Breakfast was freshly made and cooked to perfection, we had fresh coffee and juice, followed by fresh fruit and yoghurt, pancakes and bacon with locally made maple syrup. Rooms were clean and large, good shower with lovely free soap & shower gel... more

Our trip to Maine was a wonderful experience. Beautiful weather, great food, contributed to a great time, but most of all our stay at the Greystone B&B really topped off our stay. Candence and Allen were the most gracious of a host and hostess you could ever image. They invite into their home and "you enter as strangers, leave as... more

I have stayed in more than one place in Calais, and now, if I cannot stay at Greystone, I do not go! The Dwelly's who own the B+B are certainly the best hosts. They are friendly and helpful, NOT because it is their job to do so, but because they are naturally that way. I have gotten to know them... more

This is probably my favorite B&B. Our room was wonderful, clean, quiet and comfortable. I had the best night sleep in our 2 week vacation. We felt welcomed by the owners and had a wonderful breakfast. If you are in this area and looking for a B&B, this is the one! more

My husband and I were lucky to book one night at this beautiful inn in the town of Calais, Maine. The Inn is in fantastic condition and so beautifully decorated. The room we stayed in was very roomy and pretty and the bed was soooo comfortable. Alan and Candace were so very nice and the epitamy of what Innkeepers should be.... more

My trip to Maine was for relaxation and I was not disappointed! Candace and Alan Dwelley of Greystone Bed & Breakfast were the perfect hosts: friendly, helpful, and ready to serve. The B&B is in a historic home in the small border town of Calais, Maine, just blocks from stores, the St. Croix River, and the bridge between the U.S.... more

The Greystone may be the best kept secret in Calais. This B&B is gorgeous, immaculate, and beautifully appointed. Our hosts Candace and Allan are warm, friendly people, willing to assist in any way. We stayed three nights while visiting relatives but this is an inn we would love to visit again just for the pleasure. Breakfasts were nicely presented and... more

The Graystone has three guest rooms, two of which are lovely suites, the other is smaller and shares a bath. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and the accommodations pleasant. The innkeepers are gracious, friendly and very helpful. Breakfasts vary from savory to sweet, with souffle's and french toast both topping my favorites list. I travel to Calais frequently... more
