My trip to Maine was for relaxation and I was not disappointed! Candace and Alan Dwelley of Greystone Bed & Breakfast were the perfect hosts: friendly, helpful, and ready to serve. The B&B is in a historic home in the small border town of Calais, Maine, just blocks from stores, the St. Croix River, and the bridge between the U.S.... more

Everything about this B&B was outstanding. Lovely grounds welcomed us to the property. The home has been beautifully decorated; the room and bathroom were spotless and comfortable. The hosts are friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Highly, highly recommended. more

The Greystone may be the best kept secret in Calais. This B&B is gorgeous, immaculate, and beautifully appointed. Our hosts Candace and Allan are warm, friendly people, willing to assist in any way. We stayed three nights while visiting relatives but this is an inn we would love to visit again just for the pleasure. Breakfasts were nicely presented and... more

The Graystone has three guest rooms, two of which are lovely suites, the other is smaller and shares a bath. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and the accommodations pleasant. The innkeepers are gracious, friendly and very helpful. Breakfasts vary from savory to sweet, with souffle's and french toast both topping my favorites list. I travel to Calais frequently... more

On a family research trip to the St. Croix River Valley and Canadian Maritimes, my hustband and I stayed at the Greystone Bed and Breakfast in Calais, Maine for 7 nights. Candace and Allan Dwelley (Greystone Proprietors) made us feel like members of their family; so much so we felt sad to leave at the end of the stay. The... more

My traveling companion and I chose the Greystone, partly because of reviews found on Travel Advisors. It was a great choice! Candy and Alan are so helpful, and down to earth, they have created a warm and inviting atmosphere in their lovely home. Our rooms were upstairs with a shared bathroom, comfortable beds, plenty of space. Satellite TV in one... more

Greystone is a lovely B&B. Our room was large, well-appointed, and comfortable. Our friends felt the same about their room. Candy and Alan are wonderful hosts who make you feel very comfortable. They have done a wonderful job renovating and decorating the house to make it a B&B. We enjoyed visiting with them, and the breakfast was wonderful! They even... more

This gem of a B&B is a lovingly restored, beautifully appointed, meticulously kept home run by Candace and Alan -- two warm and personable hosts. We stopped for one night en route to Canada. We stayed in "Hannah's room" which is spacious and quiet and boasts a sumptuously comfortable queen size bed. Breakfast was served in the beautiful dining room,... more

During our 10 day summer visit of Maine, my wife and I were extrememly fortunate to have discovered The Greystone B&B. Our aim was for lodging that would be convenient to support a day trip into Canada, and Calais, Maine seemed the ideal spot for our 2 night stay. Little did we realize that this beautiful home would become our... more
