nothing fancy, pretty basic, needs some refurbishing, remodeling, but it is OK. Bar-restaurant in the basement is an OK option in a town where there is not much else to do. Typical border town with hardly any other option.

Second time staying here in two years. Last year was decent - had a bigger room (surcharge). Okay stay with outdated furniture. However this year we arrived to be told we weren't in the main building. We were not notified of this when I reserved two months ago. They were booked full with a wedding so I didn't complain but... It was late and we knew we could stop for the night with our RV but I wish we had an alternative. The RV parking place is a remote part of the parking lot near the street. First, BRING A 30/15 amp 3 prong ADAPTER. We paid the flat rate of $25 service but if we hadn't had an adapter,... More

Front Desk Lady was very nice and it was downhill from there.Place looks OK from the street but the rooms are sadly in need of refurbishing.I thought the bathtub could be cleaner also and the shower is for short people. There is a restaurant and pub on site but we chose to eat elsewhere. There is free wifi.Surprisingly the bed was comfortable.I... We always tend to stop here for the night when coming back from Bangor. Not the best place I've ever been to. The beds are small but have lots of pillows. I did pull down the comforter to check the sheets like I always do no matter where I stay, they had a yellow stain on them. Hubby went to... More

First we were quoted 1 price and then it went up 20 dollars. OK so 65 is not bad if the room is nice, but it was not nice. It had mold on the top of shower, rust on the shower handle mold on the floor by the toilet. Tiles in the room look like they were going to fall... More

On a road trip to Canada, we overnighted at the Calais Motor Inn, and it was one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made. You are better off staying elsewhere or just crossing the border to find a place in Canada. This Inn was unsafe and noisy. After we arrived, we went down to the "fully licensed restaurant" which... We are new owners of this property and have been able to do some much needed renovations! However, in the winter months our renovations are at a slower pace. Our main building is entirely smoke free. Despite signs on every door & a strict no smoking policy we are constantly enforcing these policies. We apologize for this and hopefully during... More
