A very isolated location that is an easy drive to Acadia and other attractions but an experience of solitude that is refreshing and rewarding. My wife and I as well as a another married couple stayed here for 3 days. the rooms and buildings are really well done and very comfortable. the main attraction is the host, David. I felt... More

My fifth visit to Williams Pond Lodge B&B was as wonderful as the first four and passed much too quickly, as did the others. Host David was as attentive as ever. His breakfasts were as delicious and satisfying as ever. During my seven days there I enjoyed omelets, scrambled eggs, trout, salmon, cornmeal pancakes, German pancakes, and French toast, as... David was such a wonderful host. He came up with some of the most wonderful breakfasts. He makes everything from scratch (even his own granola), which he served us every morning with fresh fruit and yogurt. And that was just for starters. Then in the evening he would serve homemade delectable desserts. My husband and I spent our honeymoon there,... More

We made Williams Pond Lodge our home base while exploring Acadia and surroundings for a week in late July, 2015. My wife, 10 year-old daughter and I were all sad to leave this delightful place. In addition to being an old friend, the host, David Weeda, is an artist in the kitchen, a font of recommendations for things to see... More

Two wonderful nights were spent at this haven in the woods. It is a beautiful setting on the pond and so very quiet and peaceful! David and Dominick are wonderful hosts. David is quite the chef and provides gourmet breakfasts and also great dessert in the evening. A tin of homemade shortbread cookies was waiting for us when we got... More

This place is all about the owner David who is a fantastic man. It was an experience just talking to him and understanding what he is trying to do with his property and life in the woods. He runs the 3 room B & B off a remote road 15 minute outside of Bucksport totally solar powered. It is off... More

Just finished up a three day visit to this lovely B&B. I went with my two children, ages 10 and 6. They absolutely loved it! David was a great host and was able to offer great advice about day trips that would be fun and age appropriate for the kids. We especially enjoyed canoeing around the lake watching the osprey... One night just to hear the loons, another to ogle the fireflies, a third just to sit around the commons room with other guests and enjoy the bananas foster that David has made.... Otherworldly. Room was spotless and rustic, beds comfortable, breakfasts five star(German pancakes with a side of smoked trout, anyone?), peace and beauty and quiet. A bit out... More

My wife and I have now stayed at David's place twice this year (once in Mid August and once in late September). This is an amazing place, especially if you want to experience what it feel to be in the backwoods of Maine - yet experience total comfort. We were lucky to have to use the gas stove to warm... For the fourth time since 2011 I have had a wonderful time at Williams Pond Lodge B&B. A full week of delicious and satisfying breakfasts, unending supply of shortbread, and luscious evening desserts. Also a full week of morning kayak outings on the pond followed by a quick swim, and most days another run with the kayak in late afternoon.... More
