My daughter was married and had her reception here. It was a wonderful venue, food and service were excellent. Rooms are nice, she had a suite which was nicely layed out. We've also eaten in the Tavern many times. The food is great, try the lobster risotto! An outside patio is nice in the summer and they offer a wonderful... More

We'd stayed at the Brunswick Hotel for 2 nights just before New Year's Eve 2013, so a little over a year ago. It has a great location for those visiting Bowdoin or in Brunswick for other reasons. We were travelling with our 2 small children and a baby. After arriving at our room, we decided that it was way too... More

The hotel is well located in town, next to the train station and Bowdoin College. It is one or two steps above the standard economy hotel. With some attention by the staff it could be close to a boutique hotel. The entrance has rugged handsome rugs with bamboo furniture. It is what one would expect in one of those old... More

We stayed for one night at Christmas time. The hotel was quite lovely, very up-scale compared to other local places, if not bland and lacking in much color. The room suited our needs, the bed and pillows were immensely comfortable, and the view of Brunswick was wonderful, especially with the dusting of snow in the morning. The bathroom was very... More

Arrived by train and walked to hotel which is nearby. Spent a very comfortable night here and hope to return in the spring. Staff was helpful and attentive. Room was well appointed and cozy. A great location for foliage season or visiting midcoast Maine anytime. Had an excellent lunch in the tavern restaurant and a perfect breakfast the next morning.... More

Gacman17, I appreciate the time you took to review the Hotel & Tavern. I am happy to hear that you were able to enjoy the unique ability to take the train from Boston directly to the back of the hotel and stay the night. I also am thrilled to hear that your lunch and breakfast in the Tavern was to... More

Stayed here for a weekend with my girls. Very quaint and in a nice area with local shops and restaurants. We went when the town had their Christmas Tree Lighting and there was snow on the ground so it was very festive.. The beds were comfortable and front desk staff were quite friendly. The restaurant was good however I felt... More

Ritzy53, Thanks so much for the wonderful review! The tree lighting was so pretty this year. It seems like Brunswick always has something going on every day with special events on the weekends and the tree lighting was certainly a special one. Thanks for choosing us while staying in Brunswick and we look forward to seeing you soon. Regards, Brandon... More

Where do I start - My son and daughter in law had their reception at the hotel in October. For the weekend we also reserved several rooms for family members traveling in from out of state. We had a cross section I think of every room type they offer including both suite styles. Working with Brandon prior to the reception... More

Stayed 1 night as part of a New England Tour. Nice hotel, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with a good choice on the menu. Our room was clean and modern which looked out towards the railway station but we never heard the trains at all.

I have been staying at the Brunswick Hotel and Tavern since it first opened several years ago. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, clean and the service is excellent. Importantly, the reception desk is very well-run and I have always feel welcome upon my arrival. The food at the Tavern is consistently very good - breakfast omelets are well prepared and... More

Stayed here for my sister's wedding. The property is gorgeous, the rooms are big, and the service was top notch. The front desk helped with all our needs and the pub stayed open late post-wedding for us. Would definitely stay here again!
