It has been a long time since I have seen so much avocado green outside the produce department. We stopped here as it was recommended by the visitors center. I think that they are friends as the person at the center kept stearing me towards this place. There are other options in the area I would recomment that you explore... More

This is a 1960's style motel where you park directly in front of your room. The property is well maintained and located conveniently to the charming coastal town of Boothbay Harbor -- you can walk to the center of town from this motel. There is a seasonal outdoor pool and a light continental breakfast is provided in a small porch... More

No, the Seagate is not a modern motel with lots of amenities, but is is undoubtedly one of the cleanest rooms we have ever stayed in! We loved the chenille bedspreads and the turquoise bathroom, and being able to park right in front of our door. Beds & pillows were comfortable, nice big towels. The owner, Mary, is a delight!... I don't recommend this motel the room smelled, phone didn't work, NO WI FI, peeling wall paper, ceiling tiles falling off, old bedding and decor not appealing. Outside fences were falling down , siding needs paint general upkeep needed. We will definitely not be staying here again.

First we went to the Seagate motel, thinking heated pool...woo-hoo, we went to the front desk, rang the bell like it said...no answer, rang the bell again louder...no answer, rang the bell again louder...no answer. The phone rang, we could hear a woman talking so we waited until she was finished and rang the bell again...no answer, rang the bell... More

The room had not been updated since the 70's - old yellow tub, pink sink, dirty floors, old wood paneling, old furniture. The mattress was no more than 5" thick, like sleeping on a board. I would never recommend this motel to anyone. We expected much more for the price.

This is truly a gem in Boothbay Harbor. Yes it is dated from early 70s but a real classic motel. Great location (short walk to harbor), rooms were large and very clean. The owner is one of the best parts. It may take you 1/2 hour to check in listening to the stories but it was part of the experience.

July, 2014 - took a day trip to Boothbay Harbor, ME to eat lobsters, walk around the harbor and take a boat tour. We stayed here at Seagate Motel on the recommendation of another motel that was full. It was in EASY walking distance to town. On the walk you will pass many great shops, stores, historical society museum, and... More

My husband & I thought this "motel" was cute & closer to downtown Boothbay. Boy, it is closer & affordable but you had better check out the beds "BEFORE" you sign on the dotted line. We both have pretty bad backs but never had a problem w/the beds in any other place we've stayed before. I literally woke in tears.... More
