The Howard House Lodge was just a delightful place to stay. Charmingly rustic, exceptionally clean, beautifully landscaped, enjoyable hiking trails, and a beautiful breakfast dining area that blends elegance with atmosphere. Breakfast was very nicely presented and freshly made. This is a very reasonably priced accommodation if you are traveling to Boothbay Harbor. A very short distance from the center... More

Visiting Boothbay Harbor Maine was a bucket list trip and the Howard House Lodge made our trip perfect! The rooms are so comfortable and have a great view. The flowers and woods surrounding the lodge were just part of this perfect place to vacation. The breakfast was the best food in Boothbay Harbor (along with lobster of course). Jim and... More

As long time visitors, we can only confirm all the positive reviews, including our own from last year. Returniing to the gracious hosts, convenient location, delicious breakfasts, comfortable room and quiet setting feels like coming home for us. Ginny and Jim also make excellent recommendations about the interesting things to do in the Boothbay area. We plan to bring others... More

We were warmly welcomed when we checked in and offered a selection of hot teas which we greatly appreciated as it was cool and raining the night we arrived. Our room was very clean, the bed very comfortable and the private balcony with pretty flower boxes made it feel more like home away from home instead of just another hotel... More

What a wonderful place! Our room was clean, spacious and nicely decorated and the price was more than fair. Ginny (one of the owners) was also one of the warmest and friendliest people that we met on our entire trip And as so many other people have said, the breakfast was phenomenal. Ginny made us fresh blueberry muffins, raspberry thumbprints,... More

Marvelous place. We stayed four days and were so pleased. Spacious room with nice balcony and chairs overlooking beautiful grounds. The breakfasts are really more special than we can describe. Trust us, they are superb! And, served with such grace. Thankfully, this unique place is thriving. The online picture doesn't really do it justice. You will be so happy when... More

This is the third time we have stayed at the Howard House Lodge B&B. The previous two times have been delightful and this time was no different. What separates this B&B from others that we have stayed at are the married couple that own the B&B, the wonderful breakfasts that they create, and how reasonably priced our stays have been.... More

Five of us (all adults) stayed in three separate rooms at the beginning of the tourist season and happened to be the only guests that night. Ginny (this is the correct spelling, based on an email from her) was extraordinarily thoughtful and helpful in all respects. I agree with the descriptions offered by the previous reviewers: Howard Lodge B& B... More

We found this place and felt like we were home. My wife is gluten free and Jenny made her muffins each morning. The place is very comfortable, very clean, and hosts (Jenny and Jim) are outstanding. Howard Lodge was recommended by Chamber of Commerce. It was that and more. Jenny and Jim even made suggestions on what to see in... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here over the summer for a wedding and we loved it. First off, the breakfasts are great! The staff are very friendly and very helpful. I like the look of the rooms, it might not be for everybody, but the décor is in line with the Maine/Rustic feel of the place. And each room has... More
