Best view in town, next to sparkling ocean. Splendid, peaceful terrace for sunning, sipping, vegging out. Friendly, thoughtful and fun innkeepers. Tasty breakfasts, comfy beds, sunny, breezy rooms. Nice and quiet and convenient walk to town. Close enough to town to explore it, but far enough away to enjoy Maine's beauty and to have some serenity. More

Although the location of Sur La Mer is okay, the B&B is disappointing. It has been allowed to become a little run-down, is not well furnished, and has poor service. You would do better to look elsewhere in Boothbay Harbor. More

Everything you read on here is true. The location is exceptional-within walking distance to town (convenient as you avoid the parking headaches); the views, to die for. The Inn reminds me of a tired old lady--the porch is in disrepair, the furniture rusted. Our room had excellent views of the bay but adjoins the patio--so needless to say we kept... More

My husband and I recently visited Booth Bay Harbor, Maine and stayed at Sur La Mer Inn. We were greeted by Jay and given a tour of the inn and the grounds. Our room was on the second floor with a breathtaking view of the Harbor. So peaceful and tranquil. We enjoyed Jay’s tasty breakfast out on the back patio... More

We loved our stay Sur La Mer Inn, our room was on the first floor with a great view of the harbor. We were greeted by Shane and given a tour of the inn. Shane made a delicious early breakfast for us every day as I was attending a workshop. Gene and Shane were very accommodating to all our needs.... More

It's hard to write this, because I don't want it to sound too overboard. But, we just finished our stay at Sur La Mer, and this Inn is the best!! Gene, Shane, and Jay were extremely gracious as hosts, and the room we had was perfect. It was great to awake to all of the birds, and then peacefully sit... More

I was traveling the Maine coast recently during the off season. I hadn’t been in Boothbay Harbor for many years. I saw a posting for Sur La Mer Inn noting their prime waterfront location. It was just as advertised. The view of the harbor and outlying islands was awesome. I felt as if on the deck of a ship from... More

Having traveled and stayed at B&Bs throughout the US and Canada, this was one of the most pleasant experiences we've ever had. The service, well suffice it to say, made us feel as if we were the only patrons; as if we were part of their family and the house, ours. Excellent setting; knowledgeable and gracious hosts. Highly recommended. More

Eclectic inn at fair prices. Comfy rooms - not too "precious". Very peaceful - 5 min. walk from downtown with huge ocean frontage. Decent bkfst (not gourmet), friendly hosts. They leave you alone (which I prefer to other more "intimate" inns/B&Bs). More

We were charged 200$ for the worst B&B in our entire trip and experience as traveller. The worst part ( except the awful decor of the entire home, nothing matches, the linens are old and with holes) is that the ENTIRE place is filty. bathrooms are dirty, towels were dirty, floors etc.....and all for $200!!!
