I cannot say enough about Sarah and her Blue Hill Inn. I have 40 years of B&B's under my belt and she is simply the pinnacle of inn keepers. From arrival to departure, you know you have entered the world of a VERY smart woman who also has a very big heart, and truly wants her guests to have the... More

In mid August, we, along with our Cocker Spaniel, stayed in the Cape House Suite for eight nights while on business in the area. The suite was large, with a comfortable bed, a full kitchen, a private deck, and a working fireplace (which we did not have occasion to use). The included breakfasts were always excellent, and it was nice... More

My husband and I spent three nights in September at The Blue Hill Inn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Inn is charming, the rooms very comfortable and the food was delicious. Sara and Sebastian made our visit even more enjoyable with their attentive help. Thank you Sara and Sebastian! The location was perfect for visiting Acadia National Park and... More

This is a charming old inn with an excellent restaurant for both dinner and an outstanding breakfast. In addition, the Inn puts out beverages and cookies all day and night ,and hors d'ouevres between 6.00 and 7.30pm. The rooms vary but most have reasonable size bathrooms and good beds, the only complaint being the thiness of the walls. The staff... More

Absolutely loved the food. An evening for four - all self-appointed foodies and restaurant critics. We were incredibly, happily surprised to find a terrific rose champagne selection on the wine menu (Billecart-Salmom) - seriously, try to find a good (or any, for that matter, rose on a Peninsula menu). The food was terrific - fresh, delicately and thoughtfully prepared, farm-fresh... More

My husband and I came over from Belgium for our honeymoon, after finding this little hotel/bed and breakfast on line and reading the rave reviews and checking out the great photos. This sort of thing is always a bit of a leap in the dark, but email contact with Sarah was excellent so we booked, paid and sat back to... More

My friend and I stayed at four B&Bs on the Maine coast, including the beautiful federal style Blue Hill Inn. Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable. Sarah was away the evening we arrived, but her staff was professional and attentive to our needs. Coffee, tea and cookies were available when we arrived. The hors d'oeuvres were so delicious and... My wife and I joined my sister and brother this fine Sepetember weekend to watch my sister compete in petanque. Fortunately, we were advised to book rooms at the Blue Hill Inn. If any of us had been treated this well in our younger years, in such a wonderful location and facility, we'd all still be living at home instead... More

This was my 4th stay at the Blue Hill Inn and I must say, it was perfection...again! Sarah and her staff are the main ingredient here, they can never be too helpful with any request, be it getting a blouse ironed, a nightcap before bed, all of the info one needs to enjoy the whole Blue Hill area. I stayed... More

My wife and I stayed here for a few days on our honeymoon and what a great decision we made!! The staff was very helpful, the property was clean and well-maintained, and just a nice area of Maine. We traveled from Michigan and would definitely make the trip again!!
