Laurence is a delight and wonderful host. He makes you feel welcome and will do anything to make sure you have a good stay. The breakfasts are amazing (farm fresh eggs, homemade baked goods), rooms are clean and comfy. He goes the extra mile, telling you the best places in town to eat or visit. His recommendations are always top... More

My husband and I stayed here intending to go skiing. There were lots of other activities in the area including snowshoeing and skimobiling and even dogsledding. Sunday River ski area is just a few minutes away. The B&B was beautifully appointed with a Victorian feeling and decor. We were lucky enough to try their "carpe diem" special (check out their... I made our reservation 5 months in advance. "All our rooms are available and are the same price, which one would you like?" "Since I am not familiar with your establishment I will ask you to select your best room for me.:" Well - they didn't. Our room was nice but by no means the best. Two rooms on our... More

Stayed here for 3 nights while skiing at Sunday River. Laurence is a very pleasant host, and made a perfect breakfast every day. Coffee was excellent, and they also have a large tea selection. Our room was charming, with plenty of antique furnishings. Am really happy we chose to stay here. Location is nice too: across from the supermarket, and... More

My husband & I stayed here on a much-needed weekend getaway, and have nothing but wonderful things to say. We were in ME to ski, and the proximity of this B&B to Sunday River is just perfect. Plus, clean rooms, surprisingly quiet house (it was just about full when we were there, but you'd never have known it!), and a... More

Lovely B&B experience that one hopes for: an historic house with antique furnishings, gracious host and hostess and a wonderful cooked-to-order breakfast, and a good night's rest in a comfortable bed.

I stayed here with my son in June of 2013. It was a nice place to stay for a night. We were looking at colleges and stayed here along the way. It was pleasant and charming. The food was very good. The bathroom was worn and could have used a bit of repair. The beds were comfortable enough. I wouldn't... More

Thank you for your review. Although you were with us over six months ago, we do remember you. We are glad you found your stay a good one. Our Inn is over 100 years old and has been updated and renovated over the years. The decor is of course not modern, as the Inn is not modern. That is one... More

We had a lovely one night stay here - a very charming older house with well appointed rooms. A comfortable bed, complimentary drinks and cookies in the living room upon our arrival and a splendid hosts. Laurence and Marcia are the most gracious, welcoming hosts you could imagine. The breakfast was truly english and we enjoyed it thoroughly - we... More

We had a lovely stay. We we were welcomed by Laurence and enjoyed his warm hospitality. We arrived at the end of a long day and there was brandy and tea available in the cozy sitting room. The breakfast was delicious and the conservations was lively. I look forward to visiting again.

We can't say enough good things about the surroundings and the people. The décor was quite Victorian and carefully chosen. Everything was comfortable. Laurence, the owner, was truly cordial and interesting. It's not everyday that you get to meet someone with an English accent, yet at home in America. He gave us some great tips on where to eat and... More
