This is a real find. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly, and the room was clean and well maintained. Our vehicle decided to stop working just as we were arriving and the helfulness of the proprietor finding someone to address the issue was outstanding... you just can't find this hospitality anymore!

A quintessential New England inn, the Rostay is located right in town with quick access to the best ski slopes and snowmobile trails around. The innkeepers – Kathy & Al – truly understand the meaning of hospitality, and make every effort to ensure your visit with them is comfortable and convenient. Setting this place apart from the rest in the... More

After I enrolled in the Becoming an Outdoors Woman in Maine workshop to be held at the University of Maine's 4H Camp and Learning Center at Bryant Pond on May 18, 2013, I called the 4H Camp looking for hotel recommendations in the Bethel, ME area. The woman I spoke to at the Camp recommended The Inn at the Rostay.... More

This is a great place to stay in the Behtel area -- close to town and to Sunday River. The rooms are clean and cozy. Shuttle service to town and to Sunday River is frequent and convenient. The owners, Al and Kathy are great. Al cooks up some very good blueberry pancakes. We really enjoyed our stay and we will... More

The Inn is easy to get too, clean with friendly owners. Shuttle to the ski slops are coming every 30 minutes and the breakfast is out of this world. Rooms are clean. Breakfast has nice varieties for adults and kids. Close to dinning places at night. Highly recommended

We stayed in one of the largest rooms (bunk bed and two queens), four of us. The room was comfortable and spacious enough; clean. Decent wifi service. Very close to Bethel center, and close to Sunday River. Breakfast is not included, and a bit pricey ($8 per person); for a similar price, you can drive 300 yards to the Crossroads... More

The Inn is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the service is good, and breakfast is fantastic. Plus The Inn is close to Sunday River ski area and downtown Bethel, and rooms rates are reasonable.

A few friends and I went to Sunday River Ski Resort for a weekend trip. We decided to stay at the Inn at the Rostay because is was just minutes from the resort. When we arrived Friday evening we were greeted by a nice lady at the front desk. She was very friendly and gave us information as to what... More

Stayed at Rostay last night - which just happened to be a VERY cold one in western Maine (-31 F was reported on the news). The room was warm, the hosts were very kind and helpful and the breakfast was great. The biggest plus for me was that they welcomed my dog (a great dane) without batting an eye. Small... More

Thanks for the wonderful review! It was great to have you and your great dane stay with us for the night. On such frigid evenings, we love having the company. The noise usually isn't so loud along the road, so we think the weather heightened the volume of traffic. Next time you're passing through Maine we hope you visit us... More

As a traveling nurse, housing is always a concern and Bethel Maine is no different and yet more challenging as it is a charming mountain village and not a large metropolis. My recruiter and I looked high and low for furnished housing and came upon the deluxe efficiency at the R.O.Stay. My other obstacle to overcome is that I have... More

We understand how challenging it must be to find suitable housing, especially in a place like Bethel. It was our pleasure to be a port in the storm for you and your pups — literally! Thank you for staying with us, Sandra. Your kind words are absolutely invaluable! Regards, Alan & Kathy, Owners More
