My wife and I stayed at the inn a few weekends ago and had a very nice stay. Sandra and Fred were not only accomodating to the guests, but were very friendly and involved with every aspect of our stay. The location in the center of town next to the common was perfect as we attended the festival going on... more

On our long three month car trip, it was here that we had the best night's sleep, the best, hearty homemade breakfast, and met some of the nicest folks who own the B&B as well as their family and guests! A wonderful, historical old Inn! more

We stayed at the Chapman Inn during February vacation with our kids, ages 17 and 20. We had the 2 third floor rooms, which included a small sitting area with a bathroom between them. This arrangement worked out well for us. The sitting area included a foldup bed, which my daughter chose to use rather than sleep in the queen... more

We just spent two nights at the Chapman Inn, and it was the highlight of our trip. Fred & Sandra were just great, the room(we had room number 7) was very comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was just the best. There were four of us, my husband and our two children, 8 and 11, and this was one of... more

We are a family of four who spent two days and nights at the Chapman. The room had three beds which worked well for us (parents plus two daughters). The beds were comfortable, the room and bathroom very clean, and the atmosphere peaceful. We were also close to activities (e.g., spent a beautiful day kayaking on the river) and restaurants... more

I only write about places I like very much, but I don't give anyone an 'excellent' rates anymore. I travel 50% for my job, so I visit lots of places. I work for a non-profit, so I am on tight budget. I like the Chapman Inn for the food and the hospitality. This morning, homemade blueberry muffins that may be... more

I concur with those that said the website for the Chapman was less than forthcoming. I booked a room that was listed as having a "connecting" bathroom. The bathroom was actually in the hall and had no direct connection with my room. You had to walk into a public hallway to access it. The other issue with the bathroom was... more

Stayed here mid-March and it was great. The Inn was quiet, clean, and the breakfast was awesome. Fred was very friendly, and accommodating. The room was comfortable, even though we shared a bathroom. The Inn is situated at one end of the main street so all you have to do is walk out and down the road to see the... more

My son and I stayed at The Chapman Inn and it was a great Bed and Breakfast. Fred & Sandra were very friendly and helpful with dinner recommendations. Fred cooks an outstanding breakfast. The room was very clean. They accommodated us with a room with a two beds when they see my 6’-3” son. We enjoyed our stay. more

4 of us stayed at the Chapman Inn for 2 nights. I would recommend this place to anyone except the disabled - although maybe they do have rooms that are more accessible than ours. Cozy living room with fireplace, fabulous breakfasts (Fred could have another career as a pastry chef!), within walking distance to several restaurants and a less than... more
