Woody & Lee hosted a fundraiser at Mill Hill Inn for our son Troy. It was the first time we had ever done anything like this, Woody and Lee gave us 110%. We thought we would attract 100 people. The total was 130 by nights end. The Kitchen shaft prepped for 100 and feed all 130, no one left the... More

My husband, daughter and I stayed here in mid February. My husband and I don't ski but our daughter snowboarded with another family staying at Sunday River. This was a great place to stay. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. The restaurant was open during one of the nights we were there, so we invited the family staying... More

We walked in- and it immediately felt like home. Plush leather couches, warm wood stove, comfort abound. Our room was lovely- king sized mattress and wood floors were a plus. So clean and cozy. Woody is so kind and talkative, he made us a lovely breakfast at our leisure in the morning. Location is great, its off the main strip... More

We stayed at the Mill Hill Inn for a long weekend in March and had a wonderful time. I had never stayed in an Inn before and the experience was fantastic. Woody and his staff are so friendly and welcoming and the food at the tapas restaurant right in the Inn was delicious. It was extremely convenient for us and... More

Sorry, unimpressed, overpriced. Better than many, but average. Ok, staff appeared somewhat distracted, perhaps being late in the season, staff was getting tired after a busy ski season? Probably would have been better to stay on mountain at Sunday river to avoid the morning drive.

I don't know where the last reviewers ate but It doesn't sound like Mill Hill. We drifted in after being turned off by the service (ZERO) at Gideon House one night last week and had a) great martinis - and we know our martinis - including a local Maine vodka martini b) excellent hummus and roasted red pepper dip c)... I stayed here with my husband and 5 year old daughter during February half term for a skiing holiday. The Inn feels like home as many of the reviewers have written. We chose to stay in town as my husband is a non skier but it works well for both. Sunday RIver is a short drive from the Inn and... More

I stayed at the Mill Hill Inn a few nights a week for several months when I was working in the area. I tried a couple of other spots before finding this one, unfortunately. From the first day I walked in until the last, I felt like I was home! My room was always clean and cozy (the puffy down... More

My daughter, my parents and I stayed at the Mill Hill Inn this past weekend, and the experience went beyond expectations. Woody, the owner, was present most of the weekend, and was engaging and knowledgeable about the area. The rooms were very nice, with comfortable beds and nice sized windows. Top marks go to the restaurant, where we had dinner... More

We were shocked at the service of this B&B. Outstanding rooms, extremely cozy "family room", billiard room, and eating area. Innkeeper was very accommodating and made the greatest sweet potato and black bean quesadilla ever created. Outstanding beer and wine selection. Breakfast was the cherry on top. Coming from California, we will be back again, guaranteed.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Mill Hill Inn, originally a barn built in the 1870s, was first converted into a private home in 1948 and then into a B & B in 1977. Lee and Woody Hughes purchased the inn in April of 2010 and renovated this wonderful structure from top to bottom during that summer. The newly renamed Mill Hill Inn opened its doors September 9, 2010. The inn is located just off the historic district on the north end of the Bethel Common, on a secluded acre and a half. This private setting is beautifully landscaped with both ornamental, vegetable, and herb gardens, producing food and flowers for the inn. The leveled lawn space adjacent to the front door area provides ample space for a 30' x 50' tent, suitable for weddings and private affairs. The Studio Bistro & Bar offer a unique menu and a full bar, served in the Great Room as well as in our dining room. The inn has six rooms, two of which are suites. All rooms come with new king sized beds, all cotton bedding, and private baths. The suites provide guests with kitchens and can sleep six to eight people. Rent one room or the entire inn, which can comfortably sleep twenty-two guests. ... more   less
