We stayed here for 1 night while in the Maine mountains to do some hiking. This hotel is very close to Sunday River and area restaurants, making it a good location for hiking or skiing. Hotel room was basic but clean. Hosts are very friendly, and they serve a nice continental breakfast in the mornings. I'd recommend this to any... More

We stayed in one of the motel rooms and found a dirty wash cloth in the bath tub. I was expecting nice clean rooms based on the TA reviews, but found them musty with a less than fresh smell. We were served muffins in the inn, but they were from a mix and not really that good. This room was... More

When I arrived, I was given a room that hadn't been made up. No problem to switch, the next room smelled of urine, including the bedspread and blankets. I stayed, and aired out the room and used air freshener, stripped the blankets, etc. I picked the hotel on the basis of the photos; the outside isn't worth putting up with... More

We stopped in Bethel on our way home to Ontario. We spied the Norseman and were warmly welcomed by the owner. We were very satisfied with our room in the motel portion of the Inn which was neat and clean. Free WiFi is available. We were very delighted with the included Continental breakfast, served in the owners' home. What a... More

I have stayed at the Norseman a few times now and had a great experience on each visit. The hotel provides an affordable option for a very clean environment. Sure it lacks amenities of larger inner city establishments. The room rate is also equivalent to the room tax charged at larger hotels. If you are looking for a centrally located... More

Stayed here this weekend. Friendly staff (owner actually I think), she was really nice and even wrapped us some muffins to take with us to the MT. for breakfast. Stayed in one of the motel rooms. Very clean, great price, and excellent location. Only down side is paper thin walls and ceilings so if you are a light sleeper you... More

We stayed three nights at the Norseman Motel and couldn't have been happier. The hosts Dana and John are wonderful people. The Motel was very reasonably priced and well suited for travelers who need a clean, warm room and a good hot shower. The location is perfect. Sure the rooms in the Motel are a little dated but who cares.... More

Three nights started with a little power outage and I was glad I was not praticing my "high wire act"...They handled the short outage calmly and we went on to have another great visit...We can't wait for our next trip and the Norseman will be our place to hang our hats!

We were enroute and decided to stay overnight rather than drive for 4 more hours. We stayed in the motel since the inn rooms were not available. The room was clean and comfortable, There was a small fridge and a miicrowave, cable tv and (somehwat intermittent) wifi. Continental breakfast was as promised with excellent homemade poppyseed muffins, and very good... More

We enjoyed the large room and great location of this inn. We were in Bethel because we were taking the Bumpus mine tour which started right across the highway. An added bonus was the games room - although it wasn't fancy, we had a blast playing ping-pong as a family.
