Once we checked in after a great day of skiing we did not have to go outside again. We had drinks in the pub, dinner in the dining room,( try the escargot and the tuna appitizers) followed by "Hoot Night" live entertainment in the pub after dinner. We had a suite with our 2 kids. Nice HOT water too. more

The hotel is in a great location in Bethel. But I would make sure you have a car. The Inn offers great food! The Suds Pub in the basement has the best night life in Bethel, and even the locals will tell you that. We stayed in room #50, and really loved the re-done bathroom. This room is also very... more

This was our first experience staying at a bed and breakfast. Our room was adorable! The staff was great. They make the best blueberry pancakes EVER! Suds Pub was lots of fun. We have stayed here 2 winters in a row and hope to make it a tradition! more

My husband and I have stayed at the Sudbury many times, and are always pleased to return. Rooms are comfortable, and appropriately price differentiated based primarily on the size of the room. We normally opt for the standard room, which runs $109 per night during ski season, but have also stayed in a suite when traveling with friends, which was... more

The Sudbury Inn was the setting for a winter wonderland post Christmas vacation. This historic inn in the town of Bethel, Maine, is a peaceful respite from holiday crowds. The inn has it's own "Suds Pub" downstairs and a separate restaurant where delicious breakfasts are included with your stay. The dinners are marvelous there as well. Close by you will... more

Spent a 3-day weekend in mid-January, the inn was very clean and in a most-convienent spot in Bethel. The Suds Pub (in lower level) had excellent food and beer selection, and seemed to also be a friendly local hangout. The room we had was a standard, looking back we should have gotten a larger room, especially since the price is... more

We had no significant complaints after our one-night stay but would agree with the positive comments of other guests. Heat was easy to control, although the radiator could get scaldingly hot if the valve wasn't almost closed (a quaint model with no thermostat - quite in line with the design of the room as a whole!). Staff was very friendly... more

This is a great B&B if you're in the Bethel area for whatever reason. Sunday River is right down the road, they have a shuttle, and Bethel itself is a quaint, New England village set into the mountains of western Maine. The food at Sud's Pub was great and breakfast was delightful. My room was wonderful, the bed was comfortable,... more

Our "suite" had a "hidden" thermostat that would not turn off and after it reached about 80 degrees, we asked the front desk for help. The woman at the Inn told us to "open the doors" which was difficult to do with a toddler running around. She said she did not know where the thermostat was and would "work on... more

We arrived on the night of 'the' Valentines Storm. It took us six hours to travel from Boston Airport to Bethel - and it was well worth it! Great snow and a wonderful Inn! We were astonished to see negative reviews on this site about this inn. We found the staff very friendly and efficient. Food was exceptional and our... more
