We had dinner for 4. The restaurant had been recommended locally for a "nice" dinner. We found there is not much of a selection and we were looking for seafood. We chose the haddock as the server raved of the quality. Seriously, we could smell this fish before it reached the table. It was described as fresh. Fresh fish does... More

I called today to cancel my reservation for next week due to my Dad being in the hospital. I was informed that they would charge me for the night unless they rent the room to another guest. And yes that is very clearly stated on the web site. But hospital stays are not scheduled and the cavalier way the hotel... More

Our family of three stayed at The Village Inn last week. We were in Rm7. It has two bedrooms and costs about $200.00 per night. The rooms were clean. The airconditioners were loud, especially in the bedroom we stayed.I didnt like the bed. I did not sleep well. The floors are tilted, which to some implies "charm". The bathroom had very... More

food was great as expected. The restaurant is part of an arrangement where public radio (MPBN) members can get one discounted meal (cheaper entree free) at restaurants that advertise in the program directory. The restaurant is in the 2013 directory. We mentioned we would be using the MPBN card when making reservations. After dinner we were told they were no... More

Everything was wonderful...Sam our waitress has to be the best waitress we have ever had...she handled the group with ease...keeping our bills separate was not an easy job, but it was a snap for her! All the food came out at the same... More

The Village Inn has proven top food fare in the Belgrade Lakes for decades. Last nght I succumbed the the tastiest scallops I have ever eaten. They were not drowned in sauce, but seared juices inside the fish and a reveal of spices on the outer grilled crust. Yum! Fresh baked pie ended the gourmet meal fit for this Queen!... More

I stayed for two nights for a family wedding. Inn is nicely located in center of town. Fine breakfast. The privacy in the room (#1) was suboptimal (could see in from the street). However, no noise from the street was noticible.Friendly personnel; gregarious innkeeper. I arrived in the rain later than the stated supper hours and the personnel cheerfully offered... More
