I believe the house is 175 years old, it is beautiful. Larry and Rose are so nice and very helpful, nothing is a trouble to them. We thoroughly enjoyed the sday and the breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend staying at Alden House.

Just back from three nights at the Alden House in Belfast. Our host and hostess were soft spoken and welcoming, and a good source for restaurants and things to do in town. Our room on the first floor was small but well designed with a private bathroom. Breakfasts were delicious and imaginative and the cookies and tea in the afternoon... More

A fantastic B&B on a quiet street within easy walking distance of downtown Belfast. The 19th century house is thoughtfully restored and the hosts make it a very comfortable destination. No need for TVs when you've got this kind of place to relax in!

We spent two extremely restful nights in this lovely B&B located amongst historic homes on Church St. The house is large and elegant and the inn-keepers were attentive to guest needs. We slept with the windows open--it was wonderfully quiet and the air was crisp and clean. We can't imagine a better place to stay in Belfast.

After staying in quite a few B&Bs both in the wine country here northern California and in coastal Maine, Alden House was by far THE very best! Larry & Rose are exceptional in every way! No wish goes unfulfilled and every moment with them in their spotless and most beautiful Inn is to be cherished! Our beautiful room was huge,... More

Looking for a quick getaway, we booked this B&B at the last minuit and headed up the coast of Maine. There are really only two or three B&B's in Belfast but there are a lot of budget and up motels in the area. This was within walking distance of the waterfront and a beautiful, well-kept building. Lots of architectural period... More

Couldn't have asked for more comfy pillows, engaging owners or creative breakfast. Very clean and comfortable. Enjoy all of the very quiet Belfast from the central location. The well maintained house is a couple of blocks from downtown. Excellent

Rose and Larry were refurbishing their lovely house but honoured our reservation, so were were upgraded, and were the only guests. A welcoming and comfortable ambience, with a library available to guests, and a great breakfast. They also pointed us to Young's Lobster Pound for a memorable fresh lobster dinner, We much enjoyed being at Alden House.

Having visited Belfast Ireland in April, and in that we spend time in "the great state of Maine" every summer, we decided to spend a few days in Belfast. We had lunched there a few years before, on our way back from Blue Hill, and remembered that it just seemed charming. We searched for a centrally located inn or B&B... More

We've been lucky to enjoy many great New England B&Bs. To date, the Alden House is the only one I have written a review for. The physical inn is authentic, charming and clean. The hosts---Larry and Rose and staff---are wonderful, friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and inventive---I think they incorporate some of their family favourites with traditional. We...
