We had booked a room at another hotel in town, but we were turned away from there because apparently a VISA debit card and cash money aren't good enough to pay for a night at that establishment. So we took a drive down the road to find a hotel. We found the Admirals Ocean inn. At first, it looked kinda... More

We stayed a half hour and left all I can say is gross and LOUD..... The guest that were there looked as though they lived there the room next to us had a plant hanging up in the window. The sink and toilet were green enameled. The bed had hair all threw it. The floors were not vaccumed and visibly... More

Positively disgusting! I know they say you get what you pay for but surely this place is breaking some health guidelines?! The carpet was visibly filthy - littered with debris and was sticky to the bottom of one's shoes (I refused to take my shoes off!) the walls were dirty and the electrical sockets were hanging out of one wall.... We need up here around 10:30 pm, tired and desperate for a bed. The owner was kind and friendly and the room was well it was a room with a bed. Nothing more. The location is nice enough, on hwy 1 en route to Acadia national park.

I was trying to save money when I booked a room here for three nights. The only good thing I can say is it was inexpensive. The bathroom sink was literally falling off the wall. They never vacuumed or cleaned the sink the entire time we were there. They did replace a used washcloth each day, so I know they... More

Nice looking and unusual cat resided in the office; the room smelled of stale smoke; the beds were springy, lumpy and very uncomfortable. I checked for bugs but didn't see any until the next morning. Nothing like the pictures posted on the website. Bathroom was clean but dated. Plenty of soap, towels and travel size toothpaste. This was a desperation... More

This is a quite relaxed place. No big rules about "no pets" or smoking outside your room (although personally I can do without the smoking). Anyway, the rooms were clean and everything worked quite well. I've never been in a room before where the floor sloped downward, but what the hey. The price was very reasonable. I would stay here... I travel a lot for business. I travel with my best friend (my dog) and sometimes my business partner. We always look for a place that is not only pet friendly, but genuinely likes my dog. We had to suffer through 2 weeks of misery in Bucksport at the hands of a neurotic hotel owner, but it worked out wonderfully... More

I've never felt or seen them before, I'm sure I've encountered them in my travels but never caught one. I was just waking up when I noticed a bug on my T-shirt. I flicked it and thought nothing more.. Then I saw another and turned on the light. I moved the bug, squished it and realized what it was. The... More

We made reservations through hotel.com and the accomodations were innadequate for my family; the staff was very rude, unwilling to help, and unfriendly. We left and cancelled our reservation.
