Our stay at the White House Inn was exquisite. For those who are repeat guests, I can assure you the new owners, Diana & Santiago Rich, have maintained all the wonderful services which the WHI is known for. We arrived late afternoon and after settling into our room, we were offered a glass of wine which we enjoyed in the... more

My wife and I have stayed at numerous B&B's throughout Maine and New Hampshire. The White House Inn is without a doubt the most inviting experience that we have had thus far. Santiago and Diana were very accomodating and treated us as if we were the only residents on the premises. I guarantee that you will be treated as more... more

My wife and I stopped for two nights in Belfast, Maine and had the wonderfully good fortune to choose the White House Inn. The hosts, Diana and Santiago Rich have done a remarkable job of refinishing and refurnishing their recently acquired property. They give it a flavor of friendliness and ease that would be difficult to match anwhere. Our room... more

We were originally going to stay in Portland and decided to stay in Belfast, ME instead. Great decision! Great town! Great B&B. The B&B host, Diana and Santiago, were so friendly and accommodating. And our room......WOW....impeccably clean, beautiful and comfortable. Not to mention the fact that we were able to get a 2 bedroom suite to fit our family of... more

What a lovely time! The hosts are new to this business (I think they started a few months ago), but they clearly have a good understanding of creating a comfortable and restful experience. Belfast is a lovely little town and the White House is right in middle of everything. The Inn itself is quite beautiful and historic. Our room was... more

We are not B&B people and usually stay in boutique hotels when we travel, but.......... this place was amazing!!! We were in Belfast for a wedding and decided to try the White House after it was recommended by some friends that had recently stayed there. Our evening started with a very nice complementary glass of wine brought to our room.... more

The White House is a beautiful house near town with comfortable rooms and pretty gardens. We enjoyed the physical comforts. However, we felt the attention of the owners has deteriorated. The brochures in the entry list such amenities as afternoon tea and multiple seatings for breakfast. In fact, the owners offer neither anymore. Unlike at many B&Bs, there is no... more

We just returned from a six night stay at the White House in Belfast. We have traveled extensively for over thirty years, and have stayed at dozens of B&Bs in the US and Europe. This one is, without reservation, the best we have experienced. The building is gorgeous, as are the public rooms and bedrooms. The breakfasts are phenomenal, and... more

we stayed at this wonderful B&B 3 years ago and vowed that if we ever returned this way we would stay again. This year we did just that on our way up to Canada and again on the return journey to Boston. Bob and Terry are excellent hosts and make you feel welcome and respected. The house itself is elegantly... more

Wonderful Hosts ( Terry and Bob) in a comfortable yet elegant Home. The breakfast alone were worth the cost of the stay. The only place we will stay if and when we return to the area. more
