This bed and breakfast has a very interesting history that is documented throughout the house with pictures and newspaper articles about its restoration. It is on the historic registry of homes. Jim was very helpful assisting us with shopping suited to our needs and for local sightseeing. The breakfasts were all very tasty and varied each day. The weather was... More

Your response was most kind. We attempt to make each of our guests feel special as well as comfortable. Jim's breakfast recipes are gleaned from twenty years of experimenting with "what works" and have received great compliments from the guests. We hope that you return so that we can renew our friendship. More

Patrick and I chose this particular B&B because we thought it looked the most charming in Bath and their reputation for great breakfasts. We were delighted with our experience at the Galen Moses House. When we arrived it was raining and gloomy and the house and our hosts Jim and Larry were warm and charming. Pat is not a breakfast... We really enjoyed having you stay with us and do hope you return soon. Breakfast is always a fun time for interesting conversations around the table. Blueberries are a Maine tradition and Jim does like to incorporate them in his recipes. More

Don and I recently stayed at this lovely B&B and had a great experience. The rooms are very comfortable and the location is superb! Our hosts, Jim and Larry, were delightful and very accommodating. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone passing through Bath, ME. We would definitely stay here again! Danny & Don

Kathleen & I spent 4 delightful nights at the Galen Moses House...leaving with wonderful memories and recommendations to all our friends. I'm just sorry that it has taken a couple of months to say "Thank you, Larry & Jim." I guess life got in the way! The house is a masterpiece of Victorian exuberance....woodwork, turrets, tile, stained glass, fireplaces, and... More

Thank you for your great review. We enjoyed your visit. We keep trying to improve our services with each guest who arrives. We are often asked if we tire of being hosts and our response is always "it just keeps getting better." Hope to see you in the near future. More

I had read the reviews of the Galen Moses House while searching for a place to stay this past weekend and I was not disappointed. Jim and Larry were the consummate hosts and no detail was overlooked. Since I was the only guest, Larry and Jim kept me company at breakfast each morning. I learned more about the area in... More

This is not your average B&B. It is a trip back in time to the Victorian Era...each room could easily be devoted to a complete episode of "Antiques Roadshow". The hospitality was top notch. Hosts Larry and Jim go out of their way to make their guests comfortable in a very civilized and relaxed way. It is so much fun... More

We had such fun hosting your family this past weekend. The weather was beautiful, the breakfasts were accompanied with great conversation, your interest in the architectural details was a pleasure to observe and your kind words in this review are gratefully read. Please return again. More

On a recent visit to Bath, Maine, we had the pleasure of staying at a lovely Victorian bed and breakfast, The Galen Moses House, owned by Jim and Larry. They meticulously restored this lovely old mansion several years ago. Everywhere you look in the house, you will find interesting paintings, china, Victorian linens, and a library reminiscent of an Agatha... More

We booked one night at the Galen C. Moses house, and ended up staying for three. It is a grand mansion, lavishly decorated, but at all times we felt at home and at ease. We stayed in the Victorian Room, which is gorgeous and very comfortable. Jim's breakfasts are beyond gourmet - I am thoroughly spoiled - and he was... More

Wow, we are almost embarrassed by your praise. Jim loves to cook and Larry takes great price in his table presentations. We hope that this will be the first of many visits to Bath and to our B&B. More

I picked the Moses Galen House because it was a Victorian Home, because my husband loves Victorian homes and because they had a vacancy that night. To our delight we found beautiful surroundings matched with outstanding breakfasts only to be outdone by the hospitality and humor of the hosts, Jim and Larry!

A stylish Victorian Home built in 1874. Jim and Larry have brought this home back to life. It's like going back in time. The food and ambience are excellent but the refurbishing and attention to detail was obviously a work of passion.
