In October 2014 I attended the culinary retreat with my sister to celebrate my birthday!! We had the best time and the food was spectacular. The course is offered opening and closing weekends only!! API is on the water in Bass Harbor. The area is quaint and just beautiful. Alan and Jeanette are the owner/operators of this beautiful property. They... More

Had a wonderful room (Blue Heron), spacious, clean and quiet. Perfect setting on a point in the harbor. We are not really into having a large breakfast, but it sure looked good. They are very proud of their breakfast and put a lot of effort into it, so you should tell them in advance if you are not going to... More

For the first visit people stay in Bar Harbor and then started looking for better places to stay for subsequent trips. This is the best place for a first visit. Located on the "quiet side" of the island, it's not walking distance to anything but everything in the other comments is true.

With only 4 rooms all overlooking the water this is truly a gem of a B&B. Jeanette cooks up a magic breakfast that begins with cereal, yogurt, muffins and fruit and moves into a hot special entree different daily. Allen provides a cheese and wine tasting in the evening (if asked) that adds so much to this experience. There is... More

We've stayed at various high-end inn's across the country but Ann's Point tops the list. We stayed there for our honeymoon so the bar was set high, but they far exceeded our expectations. The entire experience was memorable. We didn't want to leave. Alan and Jeanette were high-level professionals, their service and attention to detail was consistently executed at a... More

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Ann's Point Inn. Our room (the Eagle's Nest) was quite comfortable, spacious, clean and inviting. It felt like home. Alan and Jeanette are exceptional hosts and we looked forward to breakfast every morning. The dry sauna was a wonderful treat and my wife thoroughly enjoyed the jacuzzi tub. I travel extensively... My husband and I stay at B&Bs and inns whenever we travel. We always look for the best available in the area, and Ann's Point is a true gem in the Greater Bar Harbor area. I give them 5 stars plus for hospitality, facilities, cleanliness (immaculate), full home made breakfasts that were wonderful, and the best surprise left in your... More

We just finished our honeymoon at Ann's Point, and could not have been happier. Alan and Jeannette were perfect hosts. Our room opened right out onto the water, and was clean and well stocked (and we appreciated the nightly cookies left for us!). The Inn really goes out of their way to provide a stellar breakfast every morning, and wine... More

This is a uniquely beautiful spot to stay. We watched the tides roll as we viewed lobster boats dancing in the bay while eating amazing food we helped prepare. James from Red Sky, led us through incredible food courses of local fare, we learned the lobster trade while touring Thurston's Lobster Pound, toasted the setting sky, thankful for how lucky... Jeannette and Alan run an absolutely amazing inn. The rooms are exquisite. From the design of the room, to the comfortable furniture, to the detail in decoration, to the cleanliness of the washrooms, I continued to be impressed everywhere I looked. The views from the inside are amazing and the food was memorable, to say the very least. Wonderful coffee,... More
