We booked last minute on a summer weekend but there were plenty of cabins available. I thought it was a bargain at $80/night and the cabin slept 4 adults comfortably. We had a larger cabin, with the sleeping area in a loft upstairs and a couch/kitchen area downstairs. There was electricity but no running water or bathroom, and they do... More

I went with my sister and fiance and we enjoyed the campground. We stayed for 3 nights around July 4th, and while we had to deal with the strong remnants of a tropical storm, the experience was not so bad. The campsite we stayed at was very secluded and right next to a babbling brook. The campsite had a number... More

Great place, especially for those who like certain luxuries, like bathrooms, showers, recreation area, and coffee available at the office in the morning! We stayed in a camping cabin, which was perfect - each cabin comes with a fire pit and grill which we used happily and frequently. The camping cabins have electricity but no running water, bathroom - but... More

Loved this campground! We were 9 people for three nights and stayed in sites 13,14,16, and 17 which were all set way back from the road and close enough to each other to be social but far enough apart to have space (site number 15 was closer to the road and separate from us but still nice). Nice large tent... More

The only downside to this campground is that it is a bit of a drive from the main park area. But it is "Quietside" so it isn't near all the people in the main park. And some of the best areas of the park: Wonderland, Echo Lake and the lighthouse, are close by. The tents are on wooden platforms, but... More

Like like like. Came for a night, stayed for three. Most of the island feel too populated for me. The alternative campground is Seawall campground that also have some private spots but no showers. In this one they also have cabins, which was a great option for our Rainy time on the island. The place have a very special atmosphere.... More

We stayed five nights at a tent site. We got spot #31 which is really close to the bath house which was surprusingly clean (I think they clean it every morning). We got maps and tips (we had one rainy day where we did not really know what to do) from them. I think the biggest disadvantage is the location... More

My husband and I traveled here from Pennsylvania with our dogs and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was just rustic enough for us as we are getting older and cannot tent camp anymore. The sites are quiet and secluded and the owner, Susan, is such a gem. It is refreshing to meet someone who is so caring and down... More

This is our favourite place to stay while in the Acadia area. Never had a bad experience in the 8 different times we've stayed here. The owner is friendly and accommodating. We have found the camping cabins to be pleasant and usually nice and quiet. The prices are very good, esp. compared to lodgings across the island in Bar Harbor.... More

It was a really pleasant and easy stay. Our family of 3 stayed there with our dog for 2 nights (we wish we could be there for a week). Came there around 8pm and actually didn't have a chance to meet the owner or anyone from the staff during our stay. Everything went smoothly. The cabin (#6) smells fresh pine... More
