We have stayed at this property several times before while attending the American Folk Festival, held in Bangor every August. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. We had a small, comfortable room with clean Queen bed, as well as fridge, micro and coffeemaker . Complimentary breakfast consists of an adequate variety of items (including hard boiled eggs) served in the breakfast room... More

The good- most staff VERY friendly and hard working. The bad- evening staff at check in need training on people skills and business management skills. I mentioned a bad smell in the hallway of one floor and I said it smelled skunk like. I was told by one of staff it was hard to catch people from not SMOKING in... More

Hi. I just finished going through your review of our property. I wish that you had come to the desk and mentioned the box spring. I do have housekeeping going around to look for that bed as I don't have any of your information to look up. If I had known about your situation I would have personally seen to... More

I looked at booking into a variety of hotels in Bangor and settled on the Econo Lodge because of the price. I needed a king bed and a pullout couch and the room at the Econo Lodge was perfect. The three kids plunked themselves on the king and I took the pullout. Pullout couches don't necessarily make for the most... More

I am so p!eased to hear that you had a great time at our hotel. The king rooms do provide quite a lot of room for families. I had to chuckle a bit when I read that you took the pullout while the kids shared the bed. Wow-lucky kids!! But I do want to thank you for the nice review... More

The econolodge had a room for us when we couldn't find anything south of Bangor. They were very accommodating; they gave us a break on the room cost and gave us a late check out. The suite was clean. The staff were phenomenal.

This past weekend 8/16. When I got to my room the bathroom was dirty. No towels or toilet paper or soap and shampoo in the room. The bath tub was messy and had hair in it. The room was not clean at all. This was a huge disappointment because the last time we stayed here was so nice.

I would like to take the time to apologize for not meeting your expectations. In the thirteen years that I have been here this sort of occurrence has been rare. Please contact me at rjssupply@aol.com and let me know what room you stayed in. I would like to look into this matter further but without knowing the room number I... More

The rooms were clean, the bed was comfy, the breakfast was edible. What else do you look for in a hotel really? The staff was very friendly. The cleaning staff wished us a good day every morning when we left. Only real downside is the that the hallways smelled cigarette smoke. Rooms didn't though.

Thank you for providing a review on our hotel. We really appreciate the kind words and compliments. I wish I had known about the smoke smell in the hallway at the time of your stay because I would have had housekeepers fix the issue. So I would like to apologize for that. But I am glad to hear that the... More

We stayed at this hotel in July 2014 and were happy with the service and location. The room was clean, bed was comfortable (although the pull out sofa could use a new mattress). We did not have time to enjoy the pool, but the easy access from the highway was very convenient. The complementary breakfast was good too. There was... More

Traveling to Acadia, this hotel was value-priced and met our needs. It is about an hour from the national park entrance and significantly less expensive than hotels closer to park. The staff was friendly and the breakfast attendant was conscientious about keeping the breakfast area stocked and clean.

I wasn't expecting much from the brand name of "Eco no Lodge", but this one, it was surprisingly......... great! The price is right, clean room, friendly services and nice free breakfast. My only complaint: the battery was low in the TV remote. 
