I liked the fact that the staff at the check in counter was friendly and pleasant and was willing to do what they can to make my stay a pleasant one. The room was clean, including towels and bathroom. The heater and air conditioner was working. I needed a late check out and appreciated very much the staff cooperation in... more

I agree with J_B09 but for $35 more you can stay at the Comfort Inn just a short drive north on I95 just off the exit. I frequent Choice Hotels because the points I earn on my Visa card. Choice Hotels rates this with a Gold Award, that's the reason I chose it. Plus it was 10,000 points verses 16,000... more

For the price and location, this motel was pretty good. The location is convenient to the highway and the room was clean and comfortable. In addition to free breakfast (which I did not utilize), the room had a mini-fridge and microwave that were clean and functional. Basic TV, wifi, and free parking were also provided, which I have pretty much... more

Not the best place I've stayed, not the worst. It served the purpose. A bit dirty, decent continental breakfast. more

What a pleasant surprise this was for us. It turns out this hotel is one of the few "International Gold Award Winners". If you happen upon them (they are listed in the choice hotel directory), jump at the opportunity to book a room there. The rooms are clean, well appointed, and a great deal for the money. We stayed the... more

We stayed at this hotel on Aug. 30/08 for one night. We will probably not stay at this hotel again because we found the rooms to not be very clean. The beds were not comfortable and I found the carpet dirty. I told my kids to keep their sandals on in the room. I have a feeling that the bathrooms... more

You pay for what you get. If you get a 5 star hotel for under $100, good for you! Therefore your expectation of the Econo Lodge in Bangor, Maine should be moderate since the price reflects the hotel. That being said the Econo Lodge Bangor offers no surprises, just a simple hotel with clean sheets. However there are a few... more

My husband and I just did a quick trip to Maine & New Hampshire for shopping, and stayed at the Econo Lodge on the first and last night of our trip. Both times we were in a non-smoking queen room - on the third floor and then on the first floor. The rooms were clean and smelled good. We were... more

My wife and I were in Bangor for a brief "Over Night Get-Away" and stopped into the Econo Lodge on Odlin Road after seeing some positive reviews on Trip Advisor. I found the lobby to be very compact, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. I booked a non-smoking room with a queen bed on the first floor for... more

We stayed here on a weekend shopping trip. I was unsure what to expect after reading the other reviews. The lobby was undergoing reneevations along with the rest of the hotel . The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was on the first floor and a little dated but very clean and large. The bathroom is small but hey... more
