Having said that, this motel is in no way "old' - looks as though it has been recently renovated. What we love is sitting on plastic chairs (and in this case they are actually Adirondack chairs) outside our room door watching the sun set. One warning though - you will not get much of a view of the water, if... More

We had a grand time touring Bailey and the nearby islands. The microwave and fridge were handy, and the weather was good for sitting on the porch outside the room as well as down below where the umbrella tables were situated. Good walking/hiking areas, friendly people. The caretaker of the motel was very nice. They have coffee, orange juice and... More

On my recent trip to Maine I was attracted to Bailey's Island. Out of the way, easy pace and a place to hang your hat and have a wonderful nights sleep. Our lovely host Terry greeted us with smiles and gave us helpful information to local sights. Equipped with microwave and small refrigerator in each room, coffee and juice served... More

Room was clean, staff was very helpful. Sunsets were very beautiful and it was quite nice to sit out in the evening. Easy access to all restaurants and other places that our wedding party was staying at. Restaurants nearby were all excellent. We had a very enjoyable time.

Very, very nice room. Our room was bright, clean, comfortable and had a good shower/tub. Our bed was not my own....but what motel or hotel matchs home? The pool was as clean as our room and very refreshing! The property is located almost in the center of Bailey Island so getting around is easy. Large nicely lighted parking lot so... More

Last room available in the mid coast area on a high season Saturday night! Very very clean, and Meghan was wonderful at check in. Beds very hard, decor cute if you like patio furniture indoors. Few amenities and a little pricey for what you get. But beggars can't be choosy. Besides, I love the area and if I couldn't find... More

We were expecting the motel to have a view of the water. If you stand on a chair and are more than 6 feet tall, you'll be able to see a small slice of water. The motel is clean, a good value for the money just don't expect a view of the water. (You are within about a mile or... More

This was recommended heavily by the staff at cooks lobster restaurant over the other island motel. As they said, the place has been recently redone, ripping things back to the studs and putting in all new stuff. Very clean, very spaacious. It is a motel, and not a fancy one, but it is just fine. I would rather have a... More

Stayed four nights here in September 2012 and found the motel to be perfect for our needs. Clean, quiet, well maintained, and friendly. Barry the manager was a very nice guy and very helpful. The mini-fridge and microwave in the room were wonderful for snacking on leftovers (when lobster is $4 a pound like when we were in mid-coast Maine,... More

We found this place to be wonderfully comfortable and exceptionally CLEAN! The host, Barry, was a treasure trove of information about great places to eat (he recommended the Cribstone Bridge lobster shack- it was absolutely the most amazing lobster experience we've ever had!). He was also warm, friendly, and very hospitable. We will stay here again and again. We sat... More
