It's a great hotel for hunting and fishing. Everything felt and smelled clean. Unless your wife likes hunting and fishing trips this is probably not the hotel or city for her. There is hardly anything down there so this hotel was great and right on the water!

Stayed here for a week while we offshore fished. Clean convenient for your boat to be docked just across the parking lot. A special thanks to Terry who made our stay most memorable and friendly. She went above and beyond to make our stay great! The downfall to the lodge it it's super thin walls. You can hear everything in... More

This is a fishing lodge. They have good mattresses and you get a good nights sleep before going out fishing. What more do you expect? If you want a honeymoon suite, stay in New Orleans. They have hot fresh coffee (for free) all morning, starting around 4:00 am. They have free wi-fi. They have a good little store (it opens... More

Stayed with a group of guys for a fishing trip. Not fancy but perfectly adequate. Rooms large, clean and comfortable. Microwave and frig in rooms a plus. Wouldn't pick this as a special getaway for wife, but then, she doesn't fish. If she did, think she would like convenience for a fishing trip.

We drove in from our New Orleans vacation on Sunday to do a fishing charter on Mon. We thought we would be able to hang out at the pool and have a few cocktails and food, but upon check in we found out that the restaurant and bar are closed Sun - Tues. Very disappointing! They knew we were there... More

Stayed in September 2013. It isnt the Ritz but if you need somewhere to crash for inshore or before or after an offshore run i'd recommend this place. The store has plenty of convenience items any anglers will need before hitting the water. The restaurant and bar next door have full menus and beverages and it overlooks the docks where... More

We stayed here for 2 nights while we took a chartered fishing trip. It's a clean and new hotel. Newly rebuilt after Hurricane Katrina but you can tell it was rebuilt cheaply. Very thin walls and floors. The rooms were nice and the kitchenettes were a plus but I can only imagine the noise through the walls if this hotel... More

This may have been a nice place once but those days are over . There is remodeling going on and in the cheapest way possible showers are being reworked with what looks like a mix of fiber glass and spackle. Rooms are small and expect a lot of noise from the docks

My Husband and I stayed two nights while he was fishing with several co-workers who also stayed here. Out of the 9 people in our group, I did not hear any complaints at all. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food at the resturaunt was very good and even thought they were... More

I stayed here for a weekend for fishing the Gulf rigs. The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly. There is a minimal store next to the lobby for basic needs. The hardware down the road is very well stocked with plenty of marine and fishing supplies. While the room was mostly just a place to crash, everything... More
