This antebellum house will not disappoint. Full of history and charm, and the Inn keepers are very personable and ready to regale you with stories about the property, Thibodaux and the region. We stayed in one of the 2 family suites on the 3rd floor, and I was most surprised to find out that the open plan layout was not... More

If you're in to plantations and old world appeal do not miss the Dansereau House. It's an experience you won't forget. The staff have all the southern charm you would expect and breakfast is a wonderful experience. You will not be sorry you spent any amount of time here.

Pluses:The property is a nicely restored historical house. Our room was large with a king bed. The food at breakfast was quite good. It was quiet and the staff were nice and seemed accomadating. Minuses: The bed was a bit lumpy. The handle kept falling off the toilet and the shower was like a cave. The grounds are small so... More

We spent a night recently at the Dansereau House. The house is very large and beautifully restored. We were surprised at the size of our room (the Dansereau Room on the 2nd floor). It was huge with a very high ceiling and fantastic large windows overlooking the balcony and street. Very comfortable bed. Large bathroom. Honestly, it was a bargain... More

Staying at the Dansereau House is like stepping back over one hundred years -- except for all the modern convniences! We had a beautiful room on the second floor with our own bathroom, all quite modern, and windows looking our to the street. And a wonderful king size bed. Breakfast was well done. There is convenient parking just to the... More

The Drinkery, located inside the Dansereau House, is one of Thibodaux's tucked away and hidden treasures. It's surrounded by history and beauty. Rocking on it's beautiful verandas while the sound of music travels through it's gigantic doors and plush greenery will make you wish you never had to leave. It's so peaceful. The bar offers a very affordable display of... More

What a wonderful historic home in downtown Thibodaux. My wife Rhonda and I have return many times for the Drinker y starts at 5:30 on Thursday nights which has live entertainment from 6:30PM-9:30PM. If the weather is too cold or the extreme weather conditions the event may be called off. Gail and and Cheryl are great hostesses and go the... More

The rooms at the very large Dansereau Mansion are very nice. The third floor has two enormous suites suitable for families. There is an elevator to solve the potential problem of hauling luggage up two or three very long flights of stairs. The Mansion served as an inn and restaurant at one time, so the dining room is perfect for... More

Step back in time at this awesome antebellum mansion and enjoy a fantastic breakfast! My husband and I stopped over here for a night on our way from Natchez to New Orleans. We pulled up for a drink and bite to eat at nearby bar, The Foundry, and called Gayle, the manager of the Dansereau who came and met us... More
