My wife and I have stayed in B&B's around the country and had one of our most enjoyable stays at the Dansereau House this past week. After five days in New Orleans a visit to Thibodaux was the perfect segue to everyday normalcy. Peaceful, quiet and picturesque, if you are visiting Thidobdaux there is no better place to stay than... More

The historic house is a conversation piece all by itself. Join in in a Thursday evening and it's an explosion of fun, laughter and relaxation. It has just changed innkeepers and she has taken it to a classier level both through entertainment and quality of service. The wine list and food selection is much more extensive and appealing. A must... More

We feel so fortunate to have found this place! We were staying in the French Quarter and were very unhappy with our hotel (Astor Crown Plaza...very dirty!). I found Dansereau House online, it had great reviews, and I quickly called to make a reservation for the next two nights. They were super nice and the reservation was made quickly and... More

This antebellum house will not disappoint. Full of history and charm, and the Inn keepers are very personable and ready to regale you with stories about the property, Thibodaux and the region. We stayed in one of the 2 family suites on the 3rd floor, and I was most surprised to find out that the open plan layout was not... More

If you're in to plantations and old world appeal do not miss the Dansereau House. It's an experience you won't forget. The staff have all the southern charm you would expect and breakfast is a wonderful experience. You will not be sorry you spent any amount of time here.

Pluses:The property is a nicely restored historical house. Our room was large with a king bed. The food at breakfast was quite good. It was quiet and the staff were nice and seemed accomadating. Minuses: The bed was a bit lumpy. The handle kept falling off the toilet and the shower was like a cave. The grounds are small so... More

We spent a night recently at the Dansereau House. The house is very large and beautifully restored. We were surprised at the size of our room (the Dansereau Room on the 2nd floor). It was huge with a very high ceiling and fantastic large windows overlooking the balcony and street. Very comfortable bed. Large bathroom. Honestly, it was a bargain... More

Staying at the Dansereau House is like stepping back over one hundred years -- except for all the modern convniences! We had a beautiful room on the second floor with our own bathroom, all quite modern, and windows looking our to the street. And a wonderful king size bed. Breakfast was well done. There is convenient parking just to the... More

The Drinkery, located inside the Dansereau House, is one of Thibodaux's tucked away and hidden treasures. It's surrounded by history and beauty. Rocking on it's beautiful verandas while the sound of music travels through it's gigantic doors and plush greenery will make you wish you never had to leave. It's so peaceful. The bar offers a very affordable display of... More
