So here's the deal...I get it. Or at least I can connect the following dots: Some people travel in the hope and expectation that everywhere they go will be Just. Like. Home. Sigh. I know I bring the Republic, I mean state, of Texas into most everything I write, and here I go again. In Texas, we get a lot... More

I am surprised by some of the negative reviews because I am not sure what is expected for this very reasonable price. My husband & I were comfortable in Room #2. It is directly on the patio & there is some noise. We heard the parrot early but that was part of the charm. This is not a 5* resort... More

Rustic B&B where all guests sit together at a long table for breakfast and optional dinner. Good food freh cooked. A natural pool where you can relax a listen to the sounds of nature. Rooms clean and large enough for 2 or 3 nights. Near to Rincon de la Vieja Park.

The old hacienda building is located in a lovely surrounding. This is nice but also the only positive thing on the B&B. The rooms are located around the big breakfast and dinner area. So it is very loud and noisy from all sides. You can always hear the people from the living area as well as a the radio. There... More

I am sorry that our B&B did not meet your expectations, but I don't think your review is a fair representation. Please let me address your issues: The rooms are cleaned thoroughly prior to your arrival and every day, understandably the jungle location does mean that bugs and insects are a reality. I am surprised that you described the house... More

Great host, Erick, who welcomed us with a big smile. Their room at spacious and beautiful. Hot showers and nice pool. The breakfast was good, but not enough big to be full. As for their dinner option, it's good, but expensive (19$). The catch is their aren't other restaurant near, so unless you eat in Liberia, you don't have other... More

My girlfriend and I had the most wonderful stay at the Aroma de Campo. Our host Eric (and the amazing dogs Lola and Kobe) could not have been any friendlier or more accommodating. The hotel itself is located perfectly, just a moment's drive from the national park. It is a beautiful location, and such a relaxing country atmosphere. Dinners and... More

We loved the location, the rooms were spacious, one of our beds had a musqiutonet and we had WARM water! We loved the fact that if you walked out of your room you directly walked on the porch, were you could sit lovely, hang in the hammock, meet other people and talk to the parrot. Absolutely amazing was the fact... More

Nice small bed and breakfast with also dinner possibility. The house is very nice situated. Garden is beautiful with a nice fresh pool. Breakfast, lunch packet and dinner were excellent. Good advise about the possibilities in the area. Location is excellent. Good road, close to the park and close to other events like hot spring, water fall etc. A place... More

the rooms are situated around a porch in neo-colonial style. You are welcome and can feel home. Good dishes are served on the long central table. Down the terrace is a stone-built swimming-pool with natural fresh water. The parc Rincon de la Vieja is near-by. Big part of the athmosphere is owed bij Eric, the Costa-Rica manager with a good... My wife and I spent 2 nights here in February 2013 as part of a package deal. First day we arrived just before dark, and were put in Room 1. You should avoid that room at all costs! Grubby, hot, smelly, and goodness knows what bugs large and small we saw crawling around in the corners of that dimly lit... More
