We recently spent 3 days at Finca Bella Vista with our 12 year daughter, Sophia. What a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff and volunteers who were awesome. We stayed at Mis Ojos, arriving to find beautifully arranged flowers and an immaculate treehouse just as we had imagined, complete with welcoming towels folded... More

The directions to get to Finca Bellavista is a tad difficult, but worth the drive. The moment you pass through their entrance, you feel like you are in a one of a kind place. The staff is lovely, caring and attentive. Matt and Kelly really want to make sure you are happy. The food is different every day and a... More

We are so glad you liked it! A Sleep Machine helps with providing the rainforest noise, but it isn't the same.... we hope to have a live feed of rainforest sounds once we have connectivity. Stay tuned! More

What a magical place....Upon arrival, I immediately felt welcomed into the community. Each and every staff member and volunteer I met were one of a kind and wonderful. You can truly feel their passion and respect for the rainforest and the community. For those of you who camp and love the outdoors, this is luxury in the jungle or "glamping,"... More

Definitely out of the way, but the property is spectacular. Its a very different experience from a hotel stay, as there is a good hike to most accommodations on the property. Gorgeous, peaceful waterfalls - we were the only ones there for most of the day. Staff is very helpful and gracious. Meals in the kitchen were fantastic. Zip line... More

Finca is a very special place. I was sad to leave it. The grounds are beautiful and the treehouses are an architectural marvel. The staff and the volunteers are super nice. I have always dreamed of a vacation in a treehouse ever since watching Swiss Family Robinson as a child. When I started researching tree houses in Costa Rica and found Finca Bellavista, I knew this is somewhere my husband and I had to go! After reading all of the descriptions and reviews, I picked Mis Ojos for our stay. I... More

My daughter and I took our first trip to Costa Rica this March for her 21st bday celebration/ mom-daughter trip, and our first stop was two nights at Finca. This treehouse village in the rainforest provided the experience we dreamed of! We stayed in Cabina Colibri and had coffee every morning on the front porch, listening to the many sounds... More

My husband and I stayed at FBV in the Casa Perezosa cabin for seven nights at the end of February and into the beginning of March. Peaceful immersion in the lush greenery whether on the trails or in the cabin was amazing for the soul. The sights, sounds and smells - mmmmmmmmm!!! Living primarily exposed to natural light was a... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Finca Bellavista is a treehouse community in the Southern Zone of Costa Rica! We are a rustic, yet comfortable, private retreat off the beaten path where owners and guests can explore the natural wonders of the rainforest canopy and enjoy what we like to call ‘treetop Pura Vida’. You definitely won’t find flashy billboards or roadside signs that lead you to Finca Bellavista… Finca Bellavista is not a full-service spa, a fancy hotel, or a canopy tour. We are located in an amazing and relatively untouched portion of Costa Rica that is removed from many of the influences of the outside world. The nearest town (1.5 miles away) contains a school, a church, a pulperia, a bus stop, a handful of houses, and of course, a soccer field. That’s it. No souvenir shops, no mini-malls, and no rowdy bars. Finca Bellavista is for the true traveller who wants to experience something truly different and special. We have acres of forest and gardens to explore, refreshing rivers, birdwatching, a botanical trail, and much more. We look forward to hosting you in our home! ... more   less
