WOW! How to describe the incredible sensory overload of staying three nights at Mis Ojos, our treehouse for a time...in remote jungle rainforest...right on a clear running river...overlooking a spectacular waterfall!?!? Architecturally fascinating, achingly beautiful, alternately challenging and sublimely blissed out. Not much challenge once you get there actually. Despite no electricity, hot water pours perfectly out of the shower... More

This place got me, big time. I've enjoyed every moment being there. I even booked an extra night. It's an intense, welcoming place with nice people running the place. It was a great feeling being completely off the grid and just be. Walked for hours without seeing the same thing. GREAT PLACE!

My husband and I spent our honeymoon touring Costa Rica. We stayed 2 nights in the "Fila Tortuga" treehouse as the last stop on our trip and we certainly saved the best for last! Matt greeted us and checked us in, followed by a warm invitation to happy hour at base camp. The grounds are magnificent, with cascading waterfalls, rivers,... More

My trip to the Finca was a much needed mental/physical reboot and a wake up call. While walking the jungle trails and soaking in the Rio Bellavista, I found a renewed energy that I had not felt in years. The sights the sounds and smells. The monkeys, toucans and the big beautiful blue butterflies. The force of the waterfalls, the... More

Loved the atmosphere, the clean air, the noises of the jungle, the amazing scenery, the work put into creating this place, and just getting away from everything else. We stayed in Case Mariposa for a few days before heading to Parque Nacional Corcovado. Would have loved to enjoy the tranquility of the place for longer. The people working there are... More

This place is like no other place I've ever been. My friend and I stayed in Cabina Colibri for two nights (shoulda stayed longer, but we're on a backpacker budget). While this is not one of the more spectacular tree houses but rather a cabin, it was an outstanding place to stay; you are literally surrounded by jungle and you... More

We stayed 2 nights in Casa del Sol near the basecamp at Finca Bellavista. Our experience was nothing short of magical. The attention to detail throughout the property at Finca Bellavista is exquisite. From the second we walked in we were greeted with friendly hospitality and hand-crafted cocktails. The meals were all excellent, featuring farm-to-table style cuisine, and we loved... More

We stayed 3 nights in Casa Peresoza with our 3 children (ages 4, 7, 8). Our adventurous nature was finally satisfied here. We loved the solitude the hike to the cabin gave us; every trip down to base camp was like a nature walk. There are many great trails on the property that lead to some of the most amazing... More

I took my Son who is 12 years old, and we stayed at Finca Bellavista for three days. We blew it. Really wish we would have stayed longer! My name is Sophia and I am 12 years old. I loved Finca Bella Vista. It was one of my most favorite spring breaks. I loved being around nature and being in the rain forrest. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Finca Bellavista is a treehouse community in the Southern Zone of Costa Rica! We are a rustic, yet comfortable, private retreat off the beaten path where owners and guests can explore the natural wonders of the rainforest canopy and enjoy what we like to call ‘treetop Pura Vida’. You definitely won’t find flashy billboards or roadside signs that lead you to Finca Bellavista… Finca Bellavista is not a full-service spa, a fancy hotel, or a canopy tour. We are located in an amazing and relatively untouched portion of Costa Rica that is removed from many of the influences of the outside world. The nearest town (1.5 miles away) contains a school, a church, a pulperia, a bus stop, a handful of houses, and of course, a soccer field. That’s it. No souvenir shops, no mini-malls, and no rowdy bars. Finca Bellavista is for the true traveller who wants to experience something truly different and special. We have acres of forest and gardens to explore, refreshing rivers, birdwatching, a botanical trail, and much more. We look forward to hosting you in our home! ... more   less
