Our room was in the main building. It cost a bit more than your average bed and breakfast, but for the fun of staying in a "haunted house" we gave it a try. I guess the main draw is the ghost (which I didn't find) because the rest of the service is terrible. For the price, they should at least... More

It was supposed to be a trip for me and my husband, however he was called away on business so our oldest son accompanied me. It was our first visit to the Plantation. It was a "Bucket List" trip for me. Yes, there was quite a bit of renovating going on due to a fire they had a few months... More

My husband and I stayed 1 night here before heading to New Orleans. We chose this plantation not for the amenities but the history. It is a fascinating home with lovely grounds. The tour was good. Our tour guide was great... she answered all questions and allowed plenty of time for guests to look around. One should not expect a... More

Stayed in the Judge Woodruf room to the tune of $290. Thrilled with the level of access only we had. Basically, we had the most haunted parts of the plantation to ourselves all night long. That was cool. The mattress was absolutely horrible. The bathroom in the room was dated 70s. I knew this before hand though. Definitely, would not... More

We have been to MP several times. There are many ghost stories that go with the tour. You can eat at the cafe next to the main house and stay over night if you wish. I should say we are not the kind who believe in supernatural things and for the most part are skeptics. But I can not explain... More

I haven't sent in a review for awhile, but the Myrtles was such a disappointing stay, I hope I can deter others from making the mistake of staying here. It is a bad ambassador for St Francisville tourism and an overpriced property. We stayed in one of the small outside cabins ... badly run down, old brown shag carpets, very... More

If you are looking for something different, I highly recommend staying at Myrtles Plantation. This historic site possesses all the charm that one might imagine an old plantation home would have. The grounds are beautiful and mysterious. The staff was very accommodating and the restaurant was a nice place to dine. Breakfast was great, and the cats that roam the... More

With out a doubt we would stay at the Myrtles Plantation again! We stayed in William Winter's room. Beautiful scenery, great complimentary breakfast and a great ghost tour at the end of our stay! This is a ghost hunters dream.

My husband and I decided to take a chance with this place even though reviews were mixed. It was not one of our better choices. There was a person here when we arrived after 5. He saw us pull in and stood at the window of the trailer - the office is a trailer (if i hadn't already been charged... More
