I have written many property reviews over the years and have yet to write a negative review, until now. Most negative reviews I find are quite honestly from very picky people who will complain at anything. This review however I do think that people should pay attention to the feedback. I had read in reviews that the woman who owns... More

We stayed here 2 nights in 'The old kitchen' which was old and not very well maintained. The breakfast was included, but was not fit for human consumption, except for the coffee and the banana. May I suggest that you try another house than 'The old kitchen' or altogether a different place. Or at least bring your own breakfast. But you... More

Take a step back in time and discover the peaceful surroundings you will find here. From the variety of plant and animal life that you will see, to the historical attributes of the property, and a most gracious host made our stay unforgettable. You lose all sense of time, where the past blurs with present. Tall oak trees, draped in... More

My husband and I recently spent the night at this enchanting historical bed and breakfast. The cottages are beautiful and the owner was a wonderful person with much information that helped guide us for our day of hiking at Clark Creek.I agree with the owner about the recent post of the rude travellers who invited themselves onto the property without... My mother rented Chase's Cottage and as soon as we arrived we knew that two nights would not be enough! We were immediately filled with a sense of beauty and peace. We spent three quiet evenings sitting on the porch, grilling dinner and drinking wine as we watched the birds fly over the little pond and a peacock march about... More

It's so nice when guests really let go of the urban rush/rush and can relax and enjoy a little peace and quiet here. That's really what we offer, so we love it when we see it working. Thanks so much for understanding! More

Chase's Cottage was wonderful. It was a Great place to celebrate our 27th anniversary. It was so peaceful and relaxing! Upon arrival we got to enjoy watching the mama birds feed their babies that were nested on the porch of our cottage. The owner was super nice and very helpful. The grounds was gorgeous. The accommodations was fantastic. It was... More

Butler Greenwood Plantation is open for B&B, no longer for tours. These folks drove up in two cars, jumped out, made themselves at home, taking photos, etc. When I asked if they were guests, they said no, which they were not. When I said it might have been nice had they been considerate enough to ask permission to take photos,... More

This property is not a Hilton Garden and it shouldn't be one. What you have is a chance to stay on a southern plantation with a main house constructed in 1795 with the 7th generation family owner. You stay in modified original structures or in new creations such as the Dovecote. We stayed here 16 years ago and returned this... More

Cabins are tired and need updating. Faucets came off in our hands. No hot breakfast, muffins from Sams. Owner was grumpy and we never saw her again after paying her when we got there. Door locks are not sufficient

This is our 3rd stay here. It is not for you travelers that want a Holiday Inn Express. Nothing is new, nothing is sleek and contemporary. It is homey, gracious old timey and just what we wanted for a week with our family. Small cabins on beautiful grounds. Wonderful small pool for the kids right off our cottage living room.... More
