My sister visit this facility to make it her destination for her wedding..she agreed to have her wedding at this facility but after walking the grounds the week after we had some concerns, so she address her concerns to the owner Arlin Dease, and he flat out told her this is not a wedding facility but a Christian facility and... My daughters and I stayed here before a week long stay in New Orleans, it was the best part of our trip. The grounds are wonderful. There is wild life, animals and even fishing if you are a pet person. The views are beautiful. Please stay if you want a relaxing wonderful experience.

I have had the great fortune of finding one of Louisiana's great Bed & Breakfast Inns.... Hemingbough. Nestled on a magnificent piece of property in St. Francisville, Hemingbough is an incredible find for anyone looking for a place of rest and tranquility, solitude and magic. Yep.... this place is "magical." Majestic peacocks freely roam the property, adding more allure to... More

We booked this for a girl's weekend & stayed in room 6. The entryway was nice, but the rooms are filthy & in dire need of repair. There were dead bugs on the worn & stained carpet flooring, the peel & stick tile in the bathroom was coming loose & the door jam was moldy, the room desperately needs a... More

We did not stay here at the lovely B & B, but you can walk the grounds and it's like you're in another world. Fountains, pools, gardens, statuary, a pavilion overlooking a lake for music events, and various buildings along a winding path with Spanish moss and flowering plants. Great place for an event and no doubt a wonderful southern... More

This is an ideal place to celebrate wedding or any family related occassions. There are multiple areas to have picture perfect shots with massive trees and nice scenery. Adding peacocks roaming the grounds give some romantic setting...but not so much if you are staying in one of their cottages/rooms. Early morning peacock calls are loud and tend to be annoying... One day my daughter went to Hemingbough to look around and when she came home she had stars in her eyes. I knew that this was the place she wanted to have her wedding. We only had a few months after that visit to plan her June Wedding. You could hear the birds singing as the ceremony took place. The... More

Decided to stay there for my friend's wedding. Getting a reservation was a hassle. There is no online booking and you can only book during business hours. I called a total of four times. First time was after hours. Second time I left a message that wasn't returned. Third time the only person who could make the reservation was out... More

We were the happy recipients of a guest night at Hemingbough in the guest house. What a beautiful time of tranquility we enjoyed. The grounds are absolutely beautiful; the guest house is quaint with an Old South Plantation feeling; and the roaming peacocks are a very special treat. Our breakfast was a nice variety of morning fare and well enjoyed.... More
